For most of my life I was in super shape! I took 4 dance classes a week and did it for 16 years. I LOVED ballet and point. I could do it for hours and not get tired. Now fast forward to me now at age of 40. I have been feeling crappy for the last 6 years and just had half of my thyroid removed in July. I now have hypothyroidism and started meds 3 weeks ago. Those last 6 years I have lost muscles and strength. Now I get tired very easy! I miss my old self that was 25 pounds less! I know that with time I will get the correct amount needed for my thyroid hormones and hope to get myself back into exercising again! I am so sad and down! :( You are doing awesome!!!! Keep it up!
It's good that you've been transparent about the Before and esp the After from your experience. I think you're right about how and why you regained the weight. You're being honest with yourself and that's very important when talking about fitness and health. Now you have a plan that seems a lot less stress-inducing and more manageable. Do what works for you.👍
