I got some solace from realizing that the "silence" I've lost never existed in the first place. If your tinnitus disappeared completely, you still wouldn't have "quiet", you would simply have "quieter". Anyone with perfect hearing with no tinnitus still won't hear "silence" when they plug their ears. They still hear the constant inner sounds of the body, bloodflow, etc. They just don't think of it. The only real difference is how one emotionally reacts to the sounds. Sure, my tinnitus noise is louder than what non-tinnitus people hear when they try to sleep for instance; but when you realize that curing your tinnitus would simply mean "quieter" instead of "quiet", you can start the process of getting better. Because there is no tinnitus cure that will take away your tinnitus completely. But there are methods that can relieve and improve the tinnitus symtoms (making your tinnitus quieter), like meditation, habitation, mindset, etc. And while some people might say that improving the symptom isn't a cure since it doesn't bring you "silence", I'd say that it's pretty darn close considering a real cure wouldn't bring you "silence" either. You never had silence, no one have. There's only more or less of it. So with that in mind; what's the difference between someone WITHOUT tinnitus not thinking about the noises they hear, and someone WITH tinnitus not thinking about the noises they hear? That's the way I see it anyhow, and it helps me cope and improve. Positive thoughts!
Before I remember having tinnitus, silence sounded so loud. I still hate having constant ringing in my ear, but the deafening sound of silence really puts you in a shock of black.
The fact that this has 8M+ views gives me peace somehow. Knowing I’m not alone in going batshit crazy because of the constant ringing for the last 3 or 4 years is comforting.
like the old ones said, we're not alone. Got depressed hearing this all day, just got to stay strong and hoping it will some how fade away with our effort to cure it
It happened to me as well. Tinitus started 2 years ago on my right ear and it was a constant battle for me. People who do not suffer from this don't have a clue what we have to endure every day.
Yes there are clinical trials on a cure made by Frequency Therapeutics. Apparently it’s some sort of stem cell stuff. Google the company and you can see more about it. So in 4-6 years or maybe less, there will be a cure.
@@jayjohnnyjohn They are working on what's called progenitor cell activation. Read more here. Its probably important to note that this is stuff to repair hearing loss, so at best it will reduce the tinnitus, because you hear ambient sounds better. Not everyone with tinnitus have hearing loss, but many do. LOOK here for more info: www.frequencytx.com/our-approach/pca-regeneration.php
Please don’t ever delete this video. It’s the first video I stumbled upon when I first got tinnitus. I’ve been listening to this video now for 5 years every night. This video has saved my life. Thank you
Hey everyone Had tinnitus for 3 months now. Fluctuating pitch and volume. Scared shitless this is having a lasting impact on my mental health and affecting my relationship. Reading through comments on this video and others like it have helped tonight. Was struggling to find some inner peace. Booking private healthcare this week to investigate and hopefully find some underlying cause. To all sufferers out there, I never considered how intrusive and damaging this condition could be until I experienced it for myself. I wish you all the best, and hope you each find a method that works to suppress or destroy this condition for good
same here bro..3 months,im suffering,,but untill i read all have tinittus, im moving on..part of my life now even thou i go to an ent doc.several times but stil not stop,,hope there is a cure for this..
I’ve had tinnitus for about 8 years after playing to high music in music school. The first two years was absolutely a nightmare, with a lot of anxiety and fear of being exposed to any kind of sounds. I even had earplugs when vacuum cleaning, going by airplane or if anyone spoke to loud. Now, I’ve studied nurse for 3 years, working in hospital for 5 years and finally started medicine studies to become a doctor. For you out there with tinnitus as me, I can tell you that it will become better. Not the sound itself, but to be able to live with it. I don’t care anymore of this sound that I always hear, and you are all able to also not care. You just have to find your own path to this. However, what I didn’t knew before and what I wished that I knew, is that certain things will make the tinnitus worse for a short amount of time, such as alcohol, medication such as ASA (acetyl salicylic acid), ibuprofen and other NSAID (non steroid anti inflammatory drugs). But just for a few hours or so. Also having the cold seriously mess up my ears. All this is however reversible (which I didn’t knew from start), and can literally make every one with tinnitus shit their pants wondering why it now became worse. I take NSAID on a monthly basis, because of migraines or if I have a bad hungover etc, (because for me paracetamol does not simply work). Paracetamol does not mess up your ears at all, just so you know. My tinnitus becomes 2 times worse when taking this medication (ibuprofen or ASA), and I’m a lot more sensitive for sound for a few hours. But it is all reversible. About research I’ve studied a lot of “new” papers regarding tinnitus. It all comes down to a brain damage, not really a broken ear as many of us has thought before. Research has proven that people with tinnitus has a continuous open ion gate in our brain that is initiated for every person when we here a sound, but for us it is hyperactive all day long. The latest thing I read was about continually open sodium gates in our brain that activates this tinnitus sound. New medication has proven to be successful for not yet closing, but lowering this ion channels and hence reducing the “imaginary” annoying beep we always here. Unfortunately not yet without side effects or with to good results. But we are in an early state of research, and we learn more every day. As a medicine student, my hopes are very high for not only a temporary relief such as this video might provide, but an actual treatment. So please tinnitus people, keep your head high and don’t let your hope down. We will be able to listen to the worlds beauty just as we did a couple of years ago again.
sign me up!! what is this medicin? I use carbemazepine (tegretol) for my epilepsy. I think this is causin my tinnitus and hyperacuse. hyperacuse is making me even more crazy then the tinnitus.. can u tell me more?
If you’re reading this then it was written for you. You’re awesome and you’re never alone because I care about you! I love you. Here; take this big fat hug 🤗
I had a sudden earache after blowing my nose by holding it. It was so painful that i immediately went to take a painkiller from market and then sat with a heater for an hour giving my ear heat sensation but then i suddenly noticed this continuous sound in my one ear i panicked but i knew it was tinnitus as i had already read about it
I've had tinnitus for 17 years. It caused 98% hearing loss. It gets louder when it's silence. I do hope there is a cure for this. To everyone, stay strong.
i'm with you! tinnitus in both ears and moderate hearing loss since i was 19. I am not 33. A this point i've gotten so used to it, i do wish i could hear well though!
I've had tinnitus now about two months and it's made the anxiety I already have worse I have it some people think it's a mild thing but it's not it makes me dread the next day knowing I have to go through another day with this terrible noise and I also get a terrible sensation with mine it's like my brain is itchy
Been stressed af for about 3 weeks and I noticed ringing in both of my ears the last few days. I been taking measures to reduce my stress, praying it goes away when I feel better. I even quit drinking coffee, damn...those headaches are no joke too.
Yes! I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember, before kindergarten at least. I can tolerate it most day, but we recently moved, life is hectic, anxiety and depression to a fearful extreme (my husband is a huge help) and my tinnitus is suddenly raging! It's reached intolerable levels before, but normally briefly, calming down in a few hours or a couple day most. This has been going on for WEEKS, I'm sleeping 4 hours at a time, I can't mentally function. I'm here on RUclips because finger drumming no longer works for more than 30 seconds. Not enough relief!
I thank God that even tho I have this constant ringing in my ears, I can still hear birds sing, the voice of my children, music, and all the other sounds on Earth. I am not deaf and live in a constant world of silence. ✨❤️✨ May you all find peace with this ringing. I know it is difficult and at times breaks our spirit, but I am grateful that I can still hear. This helps me to cope.
Thanks Brother you Helped Me a lot through your Comment. It makes me Feel Like There's hope that Someday My Ear Will Stop Ringing. And if that dose not Come true Then Pheraps In the Next.
you are so right! my grandmother, uncle, and late grandfather were all deaf! sign language is my first language, english second! despite the constant ringing, i absolutely LIVE for music!!! thank you for reminding me how close i am to true silence, that i never want to experience!!! peace and love to you
I'm 17 and just this year started noticing I have tinnitus. I cried for days at the thought of it never stopping. But this comment section is so wholesome it gives me hope
Dont worry man im 15 i have it now for like 10 years i dont really mind the sound i got used of it 😂 and also when its dead silence almost everyone hears ringing what im trying to say its that its safe dont worry💪

@Anselmo LLobera Trolls are people who try to get a rise out of you by making nasty, insensitive, or hurtful comments. They get pleasure out of it....though the comments made above on this thread I think were made, mostly, in jest.
God bless us all who have to live with this horrible thing of tinnitus! We are stronger than we think we are or give ourselves credit. I pray all of you are blessed with lots of health!
I just simply came on here to say to anyone who is new to suffering with tinnitus. I have been suffering with tinnitus for about five years now. It had me in some very dark places at first ,but eventually you will just accept it, it will finally fade off into the background. It will always be there ,but you'll get used to it so just stay strong and don't give up. It's not easy ,but things will get better in time. Trust me it did for me.
Tinnitus can go away and can be cured with proper methods. Don't spread stupid shit like "it'll always be there", because that is simply not true. Go and see this channel, get some help and fight to get better: ruclips.net/channel/UCP0pfmXnI8hMnXP52Eg2pEg
I want to share a story for those suddenly experiencing tinnitus: A few months ago i have had an ear-infection which resulted in to sudden deafness on the right side. My hearing dropped to about 50% after auditory test. This went on for a few weeks and after my hearing came back i started hearing a high-pitched tone. This tone was constant for months and i was afraid i was going to live with this forever, but now.... 4 months later the tone is completely gone. I remember scrolling through comments, looking for people experiencing the same thing but couldn't find one so i thought i'd share mine. Big up to all people living with tinnitus. Stay strong. Vincent.
Hello Vincent, im dealing with this like 6 days. Can it be permanent? I gone to ear doctor and i took audiometer tests, and i have no sound loss. %100 I'm hearing. But in my left ear, im just hearing (tssssss) sound. I looked all the comments. Everyone is so depressed about this. Can it be temporary? Please say good things to me. I'm taking cortisone treatment right now.
@@VoicerKaan Hi Voicerkaan, are you dealing with ear-infection? Because that was the main reason for the 'peep' sound. My doctor told me that this was part of the healing proces. I really can't tell if it will be permanent but you have to be patient.
@@vinceecniv9232 Thank you a lot a Vincent but my doctor, firstly gave me blood stabilizer for beginning, after 4 days, today we begin to cortisone treatment for ear-infection cause. He said, if its not gone, come after this 5 days. We will check MRI for detailed. As i said, i have no ear damage, or trauma. I'm voiceover artist, and im working a lot like last mont. I believe thats the reason. But i want to now, really everyone whos struggling with tinnitus. Is it really permanent for everyone? :( Its so sad to hear in google. I just want to believe it can be cureable... And thank you for talking with me, no one understanding me right now. Everyone is saying, it can be cancer, dont be so silly. Ugghhhh. Its really depressing to me.
@@VoicerKaan My doctor gave me prednison treatment for one week. But this did not work. Only gave me anxienty. I did not suffer from trauma or going to way to loud party's. The ear is a complex organ that needs longer time to recover. So don't panic my friend :) All i can say to you is to listen to your doctor and give it some time. Be prepared to hear this sound for at least a few months. Anything less is profit.
@@vinceecniv9232 Thank you, i hope i will get better.

I am a music producer and I suffer permanent tinnitus since I was 17 (I'm now 32). Still I am working hard to make beautiful music to give hope to those who suffer like me of this never ending ringing. You are my brothers and sisters. I am one of you. Never give up.
have you ever tried to do something about it? Im a producer too and I have ringing in my ears since I was a kid, now im 37 but I never went to a doctor.
@SOULHAZER MUSIC Yes, but for the hats and higher frequencies, I ask a friend to tell me if it's too loud. Also I have sent my Audiogram to my audio engineer so when he does the mastering he knows about my situation. I mix all of my songs. My tinnitus is around 4k to 6k and its loudness is about 6.5 sometimes 7.5 so really loud. But I can't give up. I simply can't give up.
Yop, it can. A lot of factors can play in to it. A lot of them are psychological. But some medications (a lot of common painkillers), stress, tension in the neck and jaw muscles, and lack of sleep - among many other things, can lead to increased Tinnitus.
@@sonallysingh4304 it can. But then again, for many people, starte of mind is main factor. I notice it more when i am alone, Even with the same amount baggrund noise.
I have tinntus for about 3 years now. During the day it doesn't really bother me, but it can be a huge problem at night when all i wish for is to hear silenece again. Don't give up, it gets easier. Sending love to everyone with tinntus and hope this sound helps them❤️ Update almost one year after: I didn’t expect so much positive reactions to my comment, thank you all❤️ It just feels better to know there are people out there in the world who can emphasize with me.
I’ve had Tinnitus for almost 14 years. It rocked me to the core for about 3 weeks, and then I saw the ENT specialist and he told me I had it and there’s no cure. I got on with it from that day forward. Sleeping well, not too much caffeine and limit salt will keep it at bay to some or a large extent - alcohol calms it down but when the alcohol wears off it can come back with a vengeance. There are days when it’s annoying but manageable, and others I don’t notice it at all - it gets better and you can deal with it and have a normal life - remember that ! Hope this helps us all to an even better level !
Same as I described above, I also do this tap at the back of my head 20 times that you can look up on RUclips that seems to help too! I’m sure we all have slightly different symptoms and remedies that can help us differently just keep trying. Once I knew I could live a normal life I was ok with it.
I used to work as a Videographer and filmed live bands playing sets at music festivals. I never used to wear ear protection, because I was young, dumb and thought I was invincible. This is the biggest regret of my life. I’ve been living with an intense ringing, two separate high frequencies (one in each ear) constantly all day. Sometimes, about once a week, I’ll awaken for no reason at around 3/4am and won’t be able to get back to sleep because I’m so aware of the ringing noise. I really think all of us tinnitus sufferers should put together our own fund to give a budget to some young talented researchers/doctors who can do more extensive tests and try to discover a treatment faster. There are millions of us, and I know that I’d be willing to donate monthly to this research. Let’s actually get something done about this.
I got mine from constant ear infections or the corrective surgery to make them stop when I was a little kid. I always thought everyone heard the ringing until I was out of high school. Luckily I found out it's not normal, so I take extra steps to protect my hearing, since it is still perfect, just ringing when it is quiet.
im actually about to cry, i was born with mine, i have just figured it out today. ive figured out why i cant sleep, why silenceisnt a thing... our world is always noisy
Have you tried using a sound therapy machine to help you sleep? I have an iHome Zenergy to help me sleep, the setting which sounds like rain is the one that covers my tinnitus the best. I have also heard good things about Oasis sound machines.
I literally always thought it was what silence sounded like...as stupid as that sounds i thought it was normal to hear weird noises when nothing els was there
i thought that all my life until last year. I don't remember how or where I discovered tinnitus is a thing, but I do remember feeling very surprised and sad an instant later. During this time the sound has gotten higher.
You are not alone on this, I have tinnitus for almost 2 years and this music help me to easy the humming in my brain. Wish you the best, DON'T GIVE UP ,BE STRONG..!!
I have been hearing a ringing noise in my left ear for the past three weeks and so far this video is the only thing that has helped😕. Also, this comments section is the most wholesome thing ever😂. I hope it gets better for anyone reading this.
Josue Escarcena Other than listening to this I have been not using my headphones because my ringing is from loud music, and I have been listening to videos and music on a much lower volume then normal because the loud noises trigger the ringing. I have noticed that it is getting progressively better so I would just keep doing what u can to help make it go away. Best of luck!!!🙂
@@averyfh2353 Thanks for the advice, it would help if you try massaging your head, specially the part of you ear that make the sound. Other would be to put in you ear hot water something hot not much hot of course ahaha but it would reduce the tense...finally stay in calm and try to don't think about it just ignore it. Good luck!
I have had tinnitus since 2019 til present. I plug my ears with cotton while I am at work or just out and about. Loud noises hurt my ear. It's in my right ear. Sounds like a cricket chirping but higher pitched. Tinnitus is actually a brain thing. Not an ear thing. You notice more cuz you are searching for the sound. Mine gets louder when I am stressed or really tired. I use a big fan at night to focus on, to drown out the tinnitus. I use this video every night for atleast an hour. I have noticed that the frequency and how long my ear rings for, has diminished. Thank You for this. It is a life changer that gives me some relief. Anyone who has tinnitus, Stay Strong. You are NOT alone. Peace to All 😊
OMG....I am so appreciating the internet and RUclips right now. I just found a whole community of people with this crazy ear ringing and finally found something to give me some peace!
@Bella Sandra Hi, Sandra. Thank you for the suggestion. I was googling "lime orange acawu abime" and found nothing about it. What is it, exactly? Where can I find it here in the US?
These are the best sounds for tinnitus, I have tried 20 minutes morning and 20 minutes in evening on bed just few days and my tinnitus is going away, God bless you
Everyone who suffers from long-term tinnitus would recommend to join forces and work together to financially support research into a drug or method to cure this problem. Globally, millions and more are suffering from this, and it is probably another of the "diseases" of civilization. If each of us sent only 1 euro a month, it would be x million and the right people could do the research. Thanks
Nobody: My left ear: *OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO* Edit Sept 2021: I have had terrible tinnitus for 4 years, and I have had hearing loss due to it that whole time. Next week, I am finally being fit with a hearing aid :)
I tried it for 5 minutes and took the ear buds off. The ringing stopped for about three minutes and came back on. This is a miracle. Had it for 17 years and it was unbelievable how peaceful it was without the ringing. Needless to say, I am hooked and will listen faithfully. Thank you.
It's called RI Residual Inhibition. I found that if I play a harpsichord for a few minutes the tinnitus ringing stops for several hours - blessed relief when having suffered 8000hz whistle at 65dB in both ears 24/7 since 1993 when noise damage messed up my cochlea hair-cells. Now I play early music Telemann flute concerto to get to sleep and it works beautifully - without that I'd go nuts. Not sure if this recording does inhibit the tinnitus - but you know there is no cure. Well, not yet but I may not live long enough to experience a cure if they ever find one.
22 years old with severe tinnitus in my left ear and moderate in my right. It's difficult to explain to people who don't battle this condition just how annoying it can be. I am at the point now co-workers notice me turning my head to be able to hear things. My left ear frequently tunes out people speaking. Found this video today, and as nice as the sounds are, more so I am enjoying reading the comments. Good luck to all of you and I hope you make the best of everything. I am grateful to have tinnitus. It has helped me appreciate my hearing in general. Hope you all enjoy your week and these wonderful robotic chirps of relief.

I’m so thankful for all these videos! I’ve had tinnitus for 4 years, at the beginning I would cry every night cause I couldn’t sleep it was constantly there! I thought my life was over, all I thought to myself was how can I live with this? It’s driving me crazy. But I didn’t let it get to me I stopped thinking about it and little by little It became less noticeable even tho it was there. Anybody who’s suffering don’t let this take over I know for a fact you’ll be able to live with it and not have it affect your life! After I heard these videos, it helped reduce the pitch tremendously I could honestly cry of happiness! THANK YOU!! 🙏🏼

I know these messages aren't specifally for me but thank you everyone for all the great messages, it really makes be happy knowing i'm not alone in this.
This video features a sequence sound composed of various "ringtone" frequencies arranged in order. It appears to have a positive effect on specific tinnitus frequencies (Hz), which could greatly aid in tinnitus relief and masking. The background sound, similar to crickets, also seems effective as a masking sound for high-frequency tinnitus. Thank you sincerely for creating this video and sound for those struggling with tinnitus. I hope everyone finds relief from tinnitus soon and regains a sense of peace and comfort. 🙏💖

Tinnitus changed my life for the better. It all started when I had to quit my dream job (club DJ) and after 2 weeks of not doing much I went into YOLO mode. I began to do everything that scared me, (traveling by car, going to asia, hitchhikin, going to a rainbow gathering, traveling without a phone, etc.) It changed my perspective on life that I had to make the best of it while I still had what health and sanity I had left. ANNNND I found that meditation was highly beneficial for tinnitus and life in general. A daily practice of breath meditation was all it took to significantly reduce stress surrounding my tinnitus. And with Vipassana meditation it literally became a non-issue, (aside from loud noise avoidance) Well, 7 years in I had just had another spike, and I decided to stop being so cautious about loud sounds. The results were pretty negative, I then got another spike and tinnitus became an issue for me after 5.5 years of total peace with it. But its taught me life is a journey, and we have to lean into what scares us. I no longer spend time wishing for the T to go away, I just wish to keep learning from life and meeting new discoveries

i have had this in both ears since around 2012... i think over time you simply ignore its existence and only haunts you during quiet times naturally, but music and also being someone who falls asleep within 10 seconds to a minute (when tired) is very fortunate... but i agree, i can't even imagine what silence would feel like anymore.

@@Bertminator sadly no, but it's decreased and when I was listening to the video I couldn't hear it, and a little after I still couldn't hear it. But it slowly came back :P
I used to come to this video every night when I first got tinnitus. That was a little over 2 years ago. I don't know what made me come back to it right now, guess it was just curiosity. But anyways, for anyone who is just learning how to cope with it IT GETS EASIER, when I first got it I felt incredibly depressed, kept thinking "I will never experience true silence again" I was in a miserable mindset. But hear me out, that will fade, the sound might always be there, but you'll eventually get better at blocking it out. I only really notice it if I A) think about it too much and focus on it or B) in a really quiet environment. Just remember that you're not alone, stay strong, don't let this eat you up. You can still experience the rest life has to offer. It gets easier
Baerdic, I agree. I have tinnitus over 14 years now. I feel the same way about blocking it out unless it's silent, you think or focus on it. Though it might be livible for us, there are people here who might have it in a different form. So, I can't really say this any other way, than that we're kinda lucky we can tune it out. For the people who can't block it out, good luck to you. Know that everybody here understands you
@@SparklingSaphira I so wish mine was like yours. When I first got it 6 or 7 years ago, just a drive in the car would over ride it. Now though I can be in a busy pub and it still there. Cant go anywhere now without this constantly in my ear. The worrying thing for me is that I now have to have this so high in volume otherwise I can still hear my T over this! It gets very scary, getting myself into a panic every so often you know. Glad you can tune out Sigrid, I truly wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. G'luck.
Same story here, got in 2017, had a few really harsh months coming to this video almost daily(nightly). Then at some moment acceptence just hit me. After like a few months it almost never bothered my trying to fall asleep, except when i'm really stressed out (like about 3 nights a year). Humans are good at eventually accepting the reality they live in and just live on.

If you cant sleep from the T. Take benadryl 25mg 1hr before bed. After 2 weeks of taking it then stop and see if you can sleep without medicine. If youre able to sleep , you have adjusted to your new friend. Thats what i did. During the first few days of having T it was hell, thats why i took my med. It reached 1 month to adjust myself to this.
same, i always put my fan on when i go to sleep to "mask" the sound cause i cant handle the sound, which i probably should since i've had it for an year or so, but right now im thinking about the ringing all the time, like my tinnitus is far from the worst, i'd say its pretty good for what it is but i just cant handle it: / but when i dont think about it and listen to music and play a game i dont even realize that the ringing is there. good luck in the future. : )

Andrews Joseph Thats one of the reasons why I’m currently thinking of becoming a doctor, maybe even an ENT. I saw 3 different doctors but I didn’t feel like I was being taken seriously enough. It’s now been over a year and I’ve been thinking of going back to see if I can get some sort of support to help manage my situation.
It's about time tinnitus gets a cure, lets start a gofundme or something to fund more research and get this over with. I have the feeling eliminating tinnitus should and can be very easy but what do I know
Agreed! Although because we're yet to find a cure for tinnitus, I guess it's not so easy. But I'm certain that there'll be a cure ready in the next 5-10 years, seeing that there are so many people with this problem.
I read somewhere that audiologists are closing in on the problem. The reason why tinnitus doesn't have a cure yet is because no one had known for certain what the cause was. Once they find the exact cause which most suspect they have, then the cure can be developed.

I have listened to this for 3 days now. It does take down the loudness of my T and I even had 3 minutes of total silence the other evening. The sound of silence is golden. Thank you.
I've had a few minutes of silence before I ever tried any of these though. this is the first one I am trying, today. One year later and I'm starting to get to the bottom of it. The room where I lived when it went quiet had overly high humidity cos it was a small downstairs flat and my washing had to get dried in there. Now I'm in a very large, top floor, dry flat with lots of heat from light shining through 6 velux windows! In the warm weather and warm flat my tinnitus has got worse. I only recently figured out I have ETD because even an ENT doctor couldn't be bothered to get to a diagnosis. Steam might be helping, but I think I need quite a long time of higher humidity to make much difference. I'm also wearing a pollution mask when out on my bike. It's funny though cos even when my T is louder it doesn't feel like my ears are significantly stuffier.. I never thought about it before but before I got this I remember only occasionally my ear would feel a bit funny and I would hear a whine. The whine would vanish once pressure normalised. But I've had the mildest T ever since I was 11 and I had an ear infection, I think. I would only hear it a little when going to sleep, and I used to call it 'the sound of a quiet room'. I didn't know it was subjective. Once I began drinking coffee it was more annoying but I thought it was just the sound of my wired brain!
First of all thank you so much. I was desperate, it really was a blessing to find this. Second of all, to all of you who did not read.. it is VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS: "Please use headphones for optimal effect. Firstly keep the volume at the level where it seems to be matching your tinnitus then take a minute or two before lowering the volume a bit and keep going until your tinnitus is gone." I started with it at a too high volume and it mine got worse, then I read it and it started slowly working. To all of you out there with this condition, hope you get well soon.
God bless you 🙏🏾 this sound really helps calm you and silent the ringing and makes the ringing go down after listening especially when you can’t sleep from the loud ringing in your ear I pray god heal everyone who comes across this video .
I've had tinnitus for 4 years now and I'm thinking that this will be with me as I grow older. I have a high-pitched tinnitus and it really tones down the volume. It's nice to hear from time to time what silence sounds like. Thank you for putting this up and for helping people with this therapy! To all people with tinnitus, you're not alone. We're all in this together! May God bless you! Keep safe everyone! :)
Yeah we're all in this together. I don't know how it started but it started a few days ago in my right ear. I'm going to get my ears check in a week or two. If no issues come up then I probably have tinnitus. God bless.
Mine is very high-pitched, and multiple frequencies, I've had it for at least 5 years now. I'm 51 and can't imagine what this will be like in 10 years or more. I hope we can all find some relief at some point.
How are you feeling right now? I saw ENT dr….they basically told me there is nothing they can do. I have high pitch noise too. This video sound kinda mask it
@@Moonlightwhale my tinnitus is still there but overall I'm feeling alright. I just really have to manage my stress level, trying not to sleep late, and being in a crowded places with lots of noise because these are the things that can make my tinnitus even worse. Being born with tinnitus made me realize how we should never take even the smallest thing like having the ability to hear nothing for granted. Some of us would give anything to hear silence.

Oh my God this really helps. Was laying in bed about to have a panic attack about the ringing becoming unbearable and remembered I had bookmarked this to look at later. Almost instantly I felt a weight lifted. Just wow
Very good my man. As a Psychologist and tinitus survivor, this is a most welcome tool. The background hiss matches most people's internal frequency thus bringing the noise from inside ones head, to the outside. Now you might think that noise is noise but not so. We are able to deal with external noises much better as the brain can isolate the noise to a specific object making it much more tolerable. The multi frequency tones do a good job of breaking down that fixation on that monotone hiss. Most of this perception of noise has to do with stress response. Lack of sleep and/ or stress will ramp things up nicely. Your efforts provide a break from the created cycle especially if used at night time to get some welcome sleep. This has worked better for me than numerous other masking attempts as the hiss matches perfectly with my beloved T. It should give you overwhelming intrinsic satisfaction my friend that your efforts helped your fellow man. Your creation has made a difference and more importantly, you did it for altruistic reasons as opposed to seeking monetary gain. Without sounding condescending, I'm proud of you and hope there are more and more like you in the world. Thanks again.
Very well said and explained. I have had chronic Lyme disease and co-infections for about 10 years now and always thought my T was a symptom. I say this because my herxheimer reaction to the die-off and my T seems to follow the Moon cycle. My T drives me "batty" during a full Moon ; ) Sorry but if I couldn't laugh, I'd cry. Also, both ears get VERY HOT AND RED during my T flare ups. Anyone else? This makes me think it's blood pressure related as Buzar mentioned above, This soundtrack is pretty amazing as the background "cicada" noise is exactly the same as my T. In fact, I thought it wasn't working as I was still hearing my T with my ear buds on. But it was really the track as it stopped when I took off the buds!!
Just before Christmas I woke up one night with chronic tinnitus and it was horrible and terrifying. I endured it for weeks and this video would provide such comfort I was able to finally fall asleep at night. It has now totally disappeared but my respect for those who have lived with it for years is immense! Stay strong!
Served in the U.S Marines and left with high level tinnitus in my left ear. Constant and almost agonizing in the silence. This audio gave me relief in the first 15 seconds.

I've had intense tinnitus for as long as I can remember, I remember laying in my bed when I was like 5, just listening and feeling the ringing. The overwhelming thought of "wait... I don't know what silence sounds like." If you are struggling with the same battles, I know its hard. It's excruciating. It makes you feel helpless and trapped. But we are unique, we need to stay strong. Wherever you are, I'm with you. We're in this together.

As someone who has had tinnitus for nearly a decade you do learn to live with it! When your T spikes it can be difficult to deal with but you must understand spikes are only temporary and they are normal part of T and the flare up will settle eventually and become more manageable again. I’m having a spike now due to stress/anxiety but from past experience I know it will pass. Mind over matter ladies and gentlemen.
I have had tinitus for 15 years. Mine is from a gunshot next to my ear. Also a shotgun blast. It only takes one blast. I'm in law enforcement. I read all the comments here and decided to give it a try. Sometimes my tinnitus isn't real bad at all, I dont notice it. But lately it's been really bad. I listened to this for 3 hours last night in bed. And right now, my ears are quiet. This is awesome. I cannot believe how this has worked. I will listen to this for the rest of my life. This is so great. I don't know what it does. But it makes everything better. I am sure it affects the brain in a positive way. Thank you a whole day with no loud obnoxious ringing or hissing. Awesome!!
I've had a few shotgun blasts next to my ear and got tinnitus too... Really sucks... I've had this for the last couple weeks.. Being really hard to cope with it.
by reading the coments, tinnitus makes a very honest and nice community, I've had it for like 3 or 4 years, it gets frustrating, I hope for all of you a miracle to recover a healthy and happy eardrums
it's in the brain a single note is stuck so basically eeeeee and thats the issue we all have. The brain needs rewiring with these noises for as long it takes for your brain to use other sound notes to have the peace and quite. obviously this isn't a cure it's just therapy for the miracles
I grew up hearing mine without knowing at all it was a condition.. to me that was what silence was.. once I was aware it was a condition it was a bit shocking.. but I never knew silence so I don't miss it.
My high-pitched tinnitus immediately calmed down after listening to this. Amazing. It's still there, but masked so effectively I feel a peace I haven't felt in months.
I have had tinnitus since 2022 and I now wear hearing aids , they helped a lot , as they amplify the noise on the outside and that masks the tinnitus hugely. The worse time for me is in the night when I don’t wear my hearing aids but then videos like this alleviates the noise , I am playing it this morning as some days it spikes . Best wishes to all of you ❤
As of August 2020 there are clinical trial going on to try and find a cure ... but i think it is only for noise induced acoustic shock (i.e. gunshots ) but lets all just keep our fingers crossed. And PRAY for us all!!
@@StillBrokeOff ok. I'll check it out. Do you have bad tinnitus? I have it pretty bad from a gun shot and working a few parties after with loud DJ's last October. I've been having some success with fasting. I go about 30 hours of not eating and it goes down alot. I'm trying to make a 48 hour fast. Exercising 4 or 5 times a week helps too. Mostly cardio and moderate weight lifting.
To all the people asking about when it’s supposed to work and how long your supposed to listen too it , this is more of a masking effect rather then any type of cure. Works great though.
Jaime Padilla yes, helps me. Ive had tinnitus for my entire life pretty much (one of my parents accidentally smashed my head into a doorframe as a baby lol) sometimes it has gone away for a minute or 2 after for me.
I tried it today at work. It was ok. I'll try it again. I got my tinnitus in Iraq from a few firefights and a couple road side bombs. I'm just thankful that it's just an annoyance and really doesn't affect my mindstate. I feel bad for those that find it unbearable.
but thats the point of TRT isnt it? mask your T for long enough period of time (might be even two years or more) to rewire your brain into making the inner T sound unnoticeable.
Me too. Well, usually I use this one during the day, there is ONE other vid that is a live 8 hours of crickets, I save that one for the evening, to create a relaxing environment in my bedroom.

I'm coming up on 20 years with severe tinnitus. Been a few ups and downs for sure. It recently doubled in volume and I went searching for tinnitus masking on RUclips and found this video after trying like a hundred others. It has been awesome. I sometimes play it when I'm awake at night, I use it at the office during the day (right now in fact), I have it on my phone. For me, it literally cancels my tinnitus when played at the proper volume. My wife calls it "the birds." Anyway, thanks so much for the great free product. I'm grateful.
I have got to the stage where I have to have some form of this playing all the time now, no matter what I am doing or where I am. Had mine for 6 ish years and never thought it would get as loud as it is now. Last 3 months, gone to a loudness I didnt think I would ever have got to. Oh to go back to when I first got it and thought that was bad. I would never complain again if I could have it back to when I first got it and it only sounded like escaping gas! G'luck.
I just went through a huge tinnitus spike, it's slowly ramping down.. 27 years tinnitus now.. Ups and downs... at times it seems like it hasn't even been there! Last spike I had, I ran this video all the time and it helped train my brain for forget about it. A year later, back in the throes of another spike.. this one has the cicada sounds for some reason..
Agree with you Paul. It really helps to cancel out the sound of tinnitus. I have been in agony for years and this simple audio had worked wonders for me. Good luck my friend.
My tinnitus started years ago as a deaf buzzing; sometimes it’s hard to deal with it, sometimes not. And it comes in different ways and sounds for me. I have hyperacusia too. So, it’s a mess 😂. But things like this help me very, very much. This, together with magnesio, vitamin B, Vitamin D, gingko biloba and melatonin. That, meditation, loving people around and hearing this. Dear people: if we are brave and disciplined , stay away from hard noises and focus it as an integral thing, it gets better. Tons of love for you.
Thanks!

@@arilouis2493 same??!
My only wish is to hear what silence feels like.... 🥺🥺
I think its strange now that some people can come out of the shower or lie in bed and hear silence 😪
You're not alone 😥
Pixel Guy Thank you very much.... Really helped me a lot, surely I’ll follow your methods, thanks again 😊
Before I remember having tinnitus, silence sounded so loud. I still hate having constant ringing in my ear, but the deafening sound of silence really puts you in a shock of black.

same here bro..3 months,im suffering,,but untill i read all have tinittus, im moving on..part of my life now even thou i go to an ent doc.several times but stil not stop,,hope there is a cure for this..

Exactly +1
and lack of sleep.

Even the deaf can "hear" tinnitus, since it's in the brain.
you are so right! my grandmother, uncle, and late grandfather were all deaf! sign language is my first language, english second! despite the constant ringing, i absolutely LIVE for music!!! thank you for reminding me how close i am to true silence, that i never want to experience!!! peace and love to you

Thank you Adam☺

Tinnitus can go away and can be cured with proper methods. Don't spread stupid shit like "it'll always be there", because that is simply not true.

I want to share a story for those suddenly experiencing tinnitus:
A few months ago i have had an ear-infection which resulted in to sudden deafness on the right side.
So don't panic my friend :)
All i can say to you is to listen to your doctor and give it some time. Be prepared to hear this sound for at least a few months. Anything less is profit.

My tinnitus is around 4k to 6k and its loudness is about 6.5 sometimes 7.5 so really loud. But I can't give up. I simply can't give up.
Does anyone else find that a lack of sleep makes your tinnitus a lot worse temporarily?
Yop, it can. A lot of factors can play in to it. A lot of them are psychological. But some medications (a lot of common painkillers), stress, tension in the neck and jaw muscles, and lack of sleep - among many other things, can lead to increased Tinnitus.

@@raffaelesellaro5890 how are you doing now?

Everyone who suffers from long-term tinnitus would recommend to join forces and work together to financially support research into a drug or method to cure this problem. Globally, millions and more are suffering from this, and it is probably another of the "diseases" of civilization.

Tinnitus changed my life for the better.
It all started when I had to quit my dream job (club DJ)
and after 2 weeks of not doing much I went into YOLO mode.
I began to do everything that scared me, (traveling by car, going to asia, hitchhikin, going to a rainbow gathering, traveling without a phone, etc.)
It changed my perspective on life that I had to make the best of it while I still had what health and sanity I had left.
ANNNND I found that meditation was highly beneficial for tinnitus and life in general.
A daily practice of breath meditation was all it took to significantly reduce stress surrounding my tinnitus.
And with Vipassana meditation it literally became a non-issue, (aside from loud noise avoidance)
Well, 7 years in I had just had another spike, and I decided to stop being so cautious about loud sounds.
You should still consider getting your ear canals checked for a blockage. It’s a very common cause of tinnitus.

Even though I can tune it out, I believe the constant ringing is at least a factor in my anxiety, if it’s not actually driving me crazy.

Once I began drinking coffee it was more annoying but I thought it was just the sound of my wired brain!

how much you listened to it ? on the max volume or just the volume to match your T ?
First of all thank you so much. I was desperate, it really was a blessing to find this.
Second of all, to all of you who did not read.. it is VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS:
"Please use headphones for optimal effect. Firstly keep the volume at the level where it seems to be matching your tinnitus then take a minute or two before lowering the volume a bit and keep going until your tinnitus is gone."
I started with it at a too high volume and it mine got worse, then I read it and it started slowly working.
To all of you out there with this condition, hope you get well soon.

I had no idea that stress could have a profound affect on the hearing. Makes perfect sense.
