Thanks for the video I haven't play this game in so long it reminds me of a happy childhood playing with my friends in my family computer entertainment system that was the pirate name in Mexico back in late 80s this video is gold to me.
Shit i love this game i always have a good feeling when playing this game when i was young the sound track and everything just make me hype to played it :)
Watching this as an adult I realize that there are a few things that don't stick very well, like flying with the weapon underwater or the orange power-ups always falling on the ground despite the fact that gravity had been inverted in Area E. Still it remains one of my all-time favorite games - by far the best I ever played on my NES clone!
This was the original game based on a Japanese live action TV series. A shame they didn't retain the female bosses for the American revision of the game.
Actually, Shatterhand came first, and was retooled into Solbrain in Japan later (I know, I was under the impression that Solbrain came first, and Shatterhand was adapted from it; imagine my surprise when I found out it was actually the other way around?)
@@aliasmcdoe Well, it's kind of hard to say for sure. Usually, in these video games based on Tokusatsu TV shows, the characters and objects in the game are almost all based on something from the show, like Jetman and Zyuranger on the Famicom; the only thing in the Solbrain game that comes from the show is Solbraver as the player character - none of the enemies or bosses in the game look like any of the villains from the show, as if the devs just took the assets of a completely different game and put the sprites of Solbraver in it after they got the license to the show halfway through development.
This game was ahead of its time. The gameplay, the boss fights the graphics and especially the soundtrack
I remembered that i used to have a small handbook recording all the Alpha and Beta combinations according to the drone types.
Oh man what a game!, I used to play this when I was 6 years old, the music is amazing!

@Shinobu Sensui Those are their release dates in each region, it doesn't necessarily tell me what was developed first.

One of my top 5 favorite NES games
Far superior to shatterhand
one of my best game of all times
I played this when I was 7 years old
Just like Kage
Powerful soundtrack!
QUE NOSTALGIA!
Feels like... ninja gaiden and zen intergalatic ninja...
Good game Zen Intergalactic Ninja, or the Ecology Friendly Ninja from outer space xD.
Haaaa,, I know that game "RoboCop"
My dad tricked me into thinking it was robocop
When I discovered his deception...
You mean RoboCop 3? ( also a bootleg )

I love tokusatsu series, but to me, this game will ever be SHATTERHAND.
