Im Mexican American and my family comes from Jalisco, the region of Mexico mariachi music comes from. And Ive grown up with mariachi my entire life. I love mariachi and I love rock. This is beautiful.
Mariachi El Bronx first started as a diversion for members of the long-running punk band the Bronx. They put on charro outfits, replaced their electric guitars with trumpet, violin and other traditional instruments, and introduced their own take on Mexican folk music (with soulful vocals in English by Matt Caughthran, a singer previously known for his howl).
I'm also from the 60+ group, brilliant, I love their originality and imagination, They should have been used in "breaking bad" the image is perfect lol
Heard one of their songs about 4 years ago. Thought they were bad ass, took me forever to remember and find them. Nice to see they're still together!!! :D VIVAN LOS MARIACHIS!!!
I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL WAS IN THEIR MIND? THEY WERE PLAYING HEAVY HARDCORE BUT THEY DECIDED TO CHANGE STYLE FOR AN ALBUM, AND THEY DID IT FUCKIN PERFECTLY! A LOT OF RESPECT FOR THESE GUYS
Thanks for a great song. Most of your fans probably 35 years old or yanger I am from different age group(60+). You made me feel younger. You are amazing!
wow, this music.. just how authentic it is. it makes me love hearing mariachi when i'm at the taco truck. it really helps that it is in english. also, this guy has a really good voice. kinda looks like chewbacca, i'm not gonna lie, but really talented. these guys instantly became one of my favorite bands and yes, i'm going to help get their albums off the shelves in a couple of days
La música mejicana nunca me llamó la atención y, curiosamente, escuchar a estos muchachos me ha hecho prestarle la atención que merece. Méjico habla con su maravillosa música y tiene mucho que decir, y estos muchachos son fantásticos también.
Hey, Mariachi El Bronx, please release this record again. I loved this album of Mariachi El Bronx, of 2009, so much and one day someone stole it from me. It was some years ago and since then I pray every day for this album to be released again - discount the exaggeration of my rhetoric, it's just a way of saying that i would love to have this CD again. It is a huge gap and a terrible lack on the market that this record has not been available for years.
Mariachi Bronx Gracias por compartir nuestra música de mariachi en su estilo Thank you very much your number one I Like You Music... los saludos desde Sinaloa México.
From the title i thought I would see A mariachi Band from the Bronx N.Y. . wrong . From the two videos that i saw , these guys have got the formula to keep them mexicans working , no just kidding, but on the real side , these guys are going places with this . If they have not already. .. thumbs up if u agree
Fell in love with Mariachi El Bronx years ago since it reminded me of Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad should have licensed this song to the start of 'Ozymandias'
No mames! I like it, I'm from El Cajon CA and I agree mexicans are the best, the work hard and they can fix anything for way cheaper than list and their girls are fine and their food rules.
They didn't change their sound. The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx are technically two bands with the same members doing their same parts. I think they went on tour together and use The Bronx to open for Mariachi El Bronx.

No soy un fanatico de la musica de este tipo pero que buena esta la cancion. Da un toque de originalidad, que al parecer es lo que comun en la música de esta decada.
I've watched this about 30 times - at first my impression was that the man in the black hat showed mercy and let him go - now I think he does shoot him and then the mariachi joins the ghosts of his gang also killed by the man with black hat - what do you think....? Watch the end part again - you'll hear a faint sound of gun shot........
The only band my grandfather told me to turn up when i played them..... Im fucking drunk digging up music he loved cause its the anniversary of his death.
I love this video and these guys! Love them as the bronx as well. What up Jorma, it's been a long time since the last time I saw you, I think it was with Brad Bohenski (the Transit War) and Rob Pearlman. Happy to see your doing well. Keep it up!!
Even though it is not mariachi music.. I am Still hoping these guys do a cover of the Lecuona Cuban Boys version of Tabu. Those New Beat drums would be just perfecto!♓️♊️♑️

This is one of the most powerful and touching music videos I've ever seen in my life. The guy is a great singer too.
These guys play mariachi music with much feelin' and above all, with high respect. Really they're a great chingones...
Our band, the Hallow, played with the Bronx a number of years back in Chicago. Pumped to see Mariachi el Bronx at Chicago's Double Door!
I'm also from the 60+ group, brilliant, I love their originality and imagination, They should have been used in "breaking bad" the image is perfect lol
+Ron Wylie There is also a children's movie called "The Book of Life" that I feel Maricahi el Bronx could have soundtracked so perfectly.
I normally don't like mariachi, but this band is a big exception. I love the fusion of punk with mariachi. Sounds natural and fresh
Then it's not mariachi and you still don't "normally" like mariachi
tongolelelena
Then what is it? What genre would you define it as? Is it because the lead singer is white and sings in English?
tongolelelena I also like the fusion / punk mix. Good quality mariachi.

How to tell the Bronx is a real punk band: one day they said "Hey wouldn't mariachi be fun?" And it was.
Mariachi is more than fun
@@eddiemaquina hmm most mariachi quite dull IMHO but the Bronx liven it up!
@@richardp1156 Mariachi el Bronx is more punk than Green Day, Offspring and Blink 182 combined.

OUTSTANDING..CABALLEROS YOU ROCK!!
Mexican music does American stuff all the time and vice versa. Who cares, good music is good music regardless of race or language.
I'm a fan, love what you do, keep doing it. YOUR MUSIC ROCKS!!!!!

Mariachi is such a powerful thing when used in the right way!!! amazing!

Punk and el mariachi! What a combo and a way to use the voice.
They didn't change their sound. The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx are technically two bands with the same members doing their same parts. I think they went on tour together and use The Bronx to open for Mariachi El Bronx.

awesome video. solid storyline
freaking awesome guys. This is awesome new genre. They blew me away.

their best song right here... saw them a few months back opening for the killers
The Bronx proves that, yes, indeed, we all love mariachi.
Just as long as they don't ask for una propina.
Oh man, that is so good.
Just saw them last night as an openning act for primus, and was incredibly impressed.

Saw them live in Sac and they are crazy, the drummer was drumming while his stick was broken!
