The human sacrifice thing brings back memories! There was a guy at Uni who was playing an annoying paladin in D&D so I looked through the Deities & Demigods and found a god who accepted human sacrifice but also was "Good" and found Anhur so I made a cleric who worshiped him. Fun times!
Interesting, this means Glorantha's mythologies and religions are more on par with our real world's mythologies and religions/faiths in their realisation and how they influence cultures and societies (Except our world's faiths don't give out magic like they do on Glorantha). Especially compared to Dungeons and Dragons and other certain TRPGs where religion is often an afterthought or more often simply a power source for divine magic rather than something that can influence roleplaying behaviour
So wonderful to have a Tolkien free repast of gods . I always enjoyed Humakt's asceticism. The lord of the austerities. Is there an equivalent to Kashmir Shavism?
If you are Husband Protector you are respectful when around the Earth Mother.... she sure can wield a Rolling Pin with the skill of Humakt has with with Death.

Love the chili analogy to folklore 😏

More than the myths in itself, it is the way that Glorantha aproaches the mythology that is realistic.
Bisos has a self-ressurrecting myth, though.

What about Isis?
So real world ducks worship Humakt as well? Who knew?🤔
Well obviously, how else do you think they keep our lakes ponds and marshlands from being overrun with the undead?
geese worship zorak zoran
