Cheers! This build ended up way bigger than originally planned but I couldn't be more stoked. It was going to just be a small dirt jump over the trail at first. So glad I built the wood drop though. It looks way better.
Thanks Mike. Yeah I am really stoked with this one. It has to be the best feature I have built by a long shot! And yeah the rift zone was made for this! It felt great to ride. Really snappy in the corners.

This is INSANE! It looks like its soooo much fun! And so well built! I rode one of these in Davos once and it couldn’t get it to work because the berm wasn’t high enough but this thing looks solide as heck! Like you could ride into it mach 1 and still ride a perfect wallride. And a wallride made of dirt? Props man! Great video and I hope the weather stays in your favor so you can build more awesome stuff! Thanks for this video Luke!
Cheers Lorin. Thats a bummer that the one you rode didn't work. I feared that mine would be the same but I just kept piling up the dirt until I could hold enough speed. Yeah it would be good to have a nice mix of rain and sun. It's much easier to build when it's damp but non stop rain is annoying haha.
It's awesome! I picked it up second hand on facebook marketplace. Was over $10k 😬 but I have such a good time building my trail that it was well worth it. It's also small enough to fit through tight spaces and not disturb the bush too much like other bigger diggers.
Dude that is awesome! Thank you so much for your support. It really helps out the channel a lot because my channel is still too small to actually be monetized so I haven't made any money at all from RUclips. So all the money that I make from shirts goes to buying things like screws and other tools. Very much appreciated!
Thanks mate! Yeah I would like to do a lot more wood work. Have you seen this video of mine? I turn a fallen tree into a ladder bridge that is pretty high off the ground in the middle. ruclips.net/video/vAHJ-Qau3Zg/видео.html
Dude thats a sick feature and the fact it took months to build because of the rain meant that you could perfect it. Loving it dude and congrats on 3k Subs as well
Wow, well done mate. Not just this feature, I mean the whole trail! Love the stumpdrop & the cannon... nice "did you know's". Keep us updated about the trees after the cork-landing!
Thanks mate! Yeah the landing of the corkscrew is the next on the list. I am currently gathering lots of wood for a big buil. It should be awesome. Cheers
Wow Luke... What an epic build and feature!! Some serious patience, engineering and problem solving going on. Thanks for another great vid! I know what you mean about the frustrating weather. Stoked it's finally drying out on the south coast. I'm off to take my son for an mtb this arvo. Yew!!
Cheers Nelson! Pretty much the answer to my problems was always more dirt! Haha. Really pleased that it works. Enjoy the ride this arvo! I hope to be out on my bike as well. 🤘
I'm very happy you found my channel as well! RUclips is a hell of a lotta work, but its rewarding to see so many positive messages on my videos. Thank you for watching.
Awesome, just found your channel and watched everything. So happy to watch an Aussie making an awesome trail. Ive been watching @bermpeak and backyard trail builds and it's nice to see someone doing it in Australia!
Cheers mate! Their builds are so good and a big inspiration for me to start filming my own builds. You should check out Mark Matthews and BCPOV for some more great trail building as well (if you haven't already)
Thanks Matthew. Yeah it was a huge solo mission! And filmed all of it solo as well. That takes a hell of a lot of extra time as well. But well worth it because it is awesome to share my videos with you. Thank you for watching.
Wow Luke, that was a brilliant video as always. The construction was so interesting and the idea of the element is fantastic. I love your videos and I could smell the wood when you cut the boards. A great test ride! It was a close landing but you managed to avoid the trees. Great job buddy. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Ride on and have a nice week🤙
Thanks Christoph! Glad you found it interesting. That was a close landing. I really need to build the next berm so the landing isn't so sketchy. Keep it up legend!
Thank you! I have always loved making videos but never really had a story to tell until now. It all seems to be falling into place. Loving it. Thanks for watching.
That Corkscrew looks soo sick!! Amazing riding mate!! Just love the shots in this video and the did you knows at the bottom! Just a funny and amazing video!!
This is by far my favorite feature out of all you episodes! The ideas is just amazing and I like the name corkscrew. It’s amazing you built it solo, and the execution is just 👍🏻. Can’t wait for the next episode!
Thank you so much! That is really cool that you watched it 3 times! I have wanted to build a feature like this for a long time, I just didn't think it would fit into my current trail. But after building the high speed roller I realised I may have had the perfect oppotunity. So glad I went for it!
Thanks mate! The channel is growing quickly at the moment. Last month it was only 2k subscribers. I just have to keep having fun out there and the channel will keep growing. Thanks for watching
Crazy cool feature man, you could build like a jump that goes to the left something like a left hip right before the trails goes past the drop. And then it could reconnect after the future berm if you wanted. 🔥
Cool idea! I’m all for multi-option trails! Sounds like it would be a much slower speed option with the lip off trail to the left to not kill speed for the Corkscrew.
I think another hidden feature could be to follow the previous trail (seen at the start of the video) and jumping off this new berm (leaning right) and landing on a new hidden landing on the old trail (leaning left). I love jumps that have slanted lip/landing combos that make you shift in the air 👌🏼
Lots of great ideas in here! It would be cool to work something out so trains aren't as dangerous haha. Theres also another option that could work as a sneaky line. Just before the end of the corkscrew before the wooden take off there is a gap in the trees that takes you back to the high speed roller from the previous episode. You could gap out of the corkscrew onto a trail that then gaps from the top of the failed hip landing over the trail.
Insane work with the build mate!! Your dedication to this channel is incredible. This feature is so unique and would be so fun to give a go! Thanks for the video once again!
Thanks mate! Yeah I'm so lucky to be able to build this in my backyard. I would love to be able to build a trail for the public to ride. I guess thats my goal for the future and as the channel grows.
Cheers mate! Keen to bring as many videos as possible! I also released a full trail tour video on Bikes Online RUclips channel. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.
This video came up on my YT home page this morning. I have just watched your series up to now and re-watched this one. Amazing work mate really enjoying the building process of using existing wood from the land and not going the store and buying fresh timber or metal. Keep up the good work.
Very cool that you watched the entire series. You can really see my riding and building skills progress with each episode. And it's great being able to use the fallen trees from the land, I don't think I would be able to afford it if I had to buy it. Thank you for watching.

I saw this one time on my front page on yt, I clicked it and now I’m watching the whole series haha 😂, excited for the next episode and I think you deserve more subs cuz this editing, the video, the features itself. Everything is great!

Old guy here. I admire your skills. The skills I've seen a few videos, you use of hand tools, power equipment, backwoods construction and riding, all well done..
Amazing videos, each time i watch they keep getting better and better. Your videos are inspiring me to go out in my garden and build my own jumps with whatever I can find. Just need a digger like you now. Keep it up 👍🏼 Rory. 10 years old from UK 🇬🇧
Hey Rory! Thanks for your comment. Very cool to hear you are out in the garden building your own jumps. It's a lot of fun isn't it! Hahah the digger took a while for me to save up for, I used a shovel and rake for many years first. New video is being edited at the moment. Can't wait to release it so you can watch. It's the biggest build yet and was so much fun to ride. Thanks for watching.
Nice build! Just found the channel and binged right through. Reminded me a bit of my own trail building. 1st features were smaller and they keep getting bigger and steeper. Look forward to the next build!
Thanks Smiddy! I have a few other features planned but my ideas often change. This one was an idea that came to me at the end of the previous episode. And it turned out to be my best feature yet.
Wow! Most epic build!!! 👏🏼🤩 That looks sooo fun! I’m glad the rains came, because it looked so good after, also it was fun to see the various colors of dirt you have. I love how the dirt shapes right up to the tree trunks and one is slightly part of the berm. Absolutely fantastic build!!!
Looks amazing! Honestly I've only ever been on one trail before, and I didn't really have the right bike for it. Watching these videos really gets me pumped to give it another try though! Love what you're doing, can't wait to see the finished line! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Daniel! You should definitely give it another go. You could try hiring a bike and finding a fun green flow trail to rip down. I think you will be hooked in no time! Thanks for watching.
Mate, your videos are so underrated your editing skills are insane when I watched your videos for the first time I was blown away. I thought you had like 1m+ subscribers but nah it’s only 9k way more people should subscribe this guy is underrated!
Thanks mate. The trail has come a long way in the last year. And still so much more work to do on it. I can't wait to build all the different ideas I have. Thanks for watching.
At the start of the build it looked like you were going to need a huge huck to gap over the trail, but it looks like it flows nicely now from berm to drop to new trail, nice work as always mate!
Honestly I was very unsure it was going to work for a lot of the build as well. It ended up way bigger than what I was originally planning. But after moving a huge amount of dirt it was possible to carry enough speed through the berm. And now it works so well. Thanks for watching.
Cheers mate! Definitely going to keep going. I have lots of ideas. Sadly I am sick with covid at the moment which has slowed down my next build. But I will get back out there soon. Check out some of my earlier videos when you get a chance. Thanks!
You definitely should give it a try! It's so much fun! Lots of bike shops hire decent bikes so you can give it a try. I remember the first time I took a bike out onto some actual MTB trails. I was hooked instantly. Thanks for watching!
Thanks mate! I would love to work with wood a lot more in the future. I actually don't have all that much experience and mostly self taught. So these videos are pretty much me learning out there. Glad you enjoyed it. Another good wood build was when I turned a fallen tree into a skinny ladder bridge. You may find that interesting if you haven't seen it already. Thanks for watching.
Wow that is a huge huge huge compliment! I have a great time building the trail and making the videos so I will definitely keep going. Thank you for watching and stoked you found my channel
Hell yeah! Building your own trails is the best. Stoked to be some inspiration for you. Please share photos and videos of what you build with me. I would love to see. Thanks
Great info , great country , great news , great builds , great effort , great videos and GREAT RESULTS at the end well done all around love your vids keep up the great work 👏👏👏
Thanks mate. The top soil is a bit sandy and dusty but 1 ft down is the dream stuff! Just needs a bit of moisture otherwise its really hard to dig up even with the digger. with all the rain we've had it should be good to go for a while.
Thank you! I just had a quick look at your channel as well. Looks like some great content. I have subscribed and will be checking out some more content tonight. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Cheers
You should see it in real life! It is massive and you can see it through the trees from ages away. It's very cool. Definitely my best feature on the trail.
Hell yeah man !! Been hanging out for this one, glad I had your BikesOnline feature clip to get me by 🔥🔥 Your attention to detail in both building and content creation is sick man ! Keep them coming yeewwww!!
That's so cool. Hope your mini bike park is awesome. And I actually finished a full trail tour video last week for another channel. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/9P2CH4PNaqQ/видео.html
Yeah Luke! Another great edit! The rain in Australia this year has been insane ... Glad the trail hasn't taken it too hard! Aggie looked right at home in the berm bath haha. Great to see your wood work back at it. As always your chainsaw, draw knife and mill work is brilliant! This feature looks like so much fun to ride man, what a great idea 🙂 The corkscrew or something similar seems a fitting name. But there are plenty of other good suggestions! Love seeing you channel grow mate, keep it up 😁
Thanks Sam! It was great to work with wood again. I want to be doing a lot more of it in the future. Corkscrew is a great name but there have been some other bangers! I will have to put it to a community vote next week. Did you see the trail tour video I created for Bikes Online? If not check out their RUclips page.
@@cutlaps yeah I love your wood work so much!! Please bring more 😃 Appreciate you going to the effort of getting my name every time too, do you have like a database or just a great memory? Haha. Yeah I watched that video too, great to see more of an overview of the whole trail and a ride down it 😁
What should we call this feature?
The golden spiral or Fibonacci
Tidy-bowl
Psychlone
Dirt-nato
G-lader (german, look it up)

Haha cool. I guess mine did take a month and his only a day...
Amazing videos, each time i watch they keep getting better and better. Your videos are inspiring me to go out in my garden and build my own jumps with whatever I can find. Just need a digger like you now. Keep it up 👍🏼
Rory.
@@cutlaps Hi Luke, thanks for your message. Will look out for the new video.
Do you wear cleats when you ride your trails?
@@corefitnesstrainingclub No, just flat pedals.
Nice build! Just found the channel and binged right through. Reminded me a bit of my own trail building. 1st features were smaller and they keep getting bigger and steeper. Look forward to the next build!
Thats so cool. Where are you building your trails?
What a sick feature! Can’t wait to see what else you’ve got planned 🤙🏼
Thanks Smiddy! I have a few other features planned but my ideas often change. This one was an idea that came to me at the end of the previous episode. And it turned out to be my best feature yet.
you should keep doing what your doing and make that mountain bike trail the best.
Thats the plan! It's already a pretty unique trail. Any cool features you think I should build?
You're a bit of a bloody legend mate. Love it - a well built feature and great video to show the build process. You've got another subscriber!
Hell yeah! Thanks Matt! Pretty stoked with this one!
Thanks Matt! So stoked to finally build my dream feature. I want to build even more toilet bowls.
@@cutlaps double the fun 😉
Excellent trail building video. I really enjoy your videos! Keep them coming :-)
Thats great to hear! Thank you for watching.
Love it! I have four boys and watching the builds with them is inspiring.
That is amazing to hear! Stoked to provide you and your family a bit of inspiration. Thank you so much for your comment.
This was so satisfying to watch! Keep the content coming!!!
Cheers James. I'm keen to get out and start building the next feature what ever that may be!
@@cutlaps Thanks for the advice! I’d definitely like to try again now that it’s getting colder in Florida as well.
Yeah it can be hard when it's hot. Starting to warm up down here.
This looks so sick! Amazing dedication. This trail is getting so good!
Thanks Mike! This was a huge build but I couldn't be happier with it. Thank you for watching
This feature is 🔥. The berm looks so smooth and drop is so Clean, I love the feature
The berm is awesome. Hard to tell the size of it in the video but it's massive. You can really enter it with a lot of speed. Thanks for watching.
Mate, your videos are so underrated your editing skills are insane when I watched your videos for the first time I was blown away. I thought you had like 1m+ subscribers but nah it’s only 9k way more people should subscribe this guy is underrated!
Cheers dude! Thanks for watching and your kind words. Pretty stoked with how my channels going and really cool to hear you are enjoying it.
Such a good addition to your course! You have inspired me to start working on a course at my place! Keep those videos coming!
Cheers mate! Thats so cool that you are going to start your own trail! Please share some photos and videos with me when you do.
Dude! That is a sick feature. You know I'll have to steal this idea and build one at Everstoke. Great work and I know your pain on building big berms.
Hell yeah. I would love to see you build one as well. They are a lot of fun. Make sure you have lots of speed!
Great build again Luke. Camera in the post hole was cool as was the “did you know” tip. Love a few laughs.
Hahah I'm glad people found the tip funny. I was nervous people wouldn't get it was a joke and just think I was dumb ahah. Cheers for watching Andrew
Dude your Chanel is AMAZING so glad I found it!!! And you should call it the toilet bowl😂
I'm so glad you found my channel as well! Haha it's a great feeling getting flushed down the toilet bowl.
Unreal build, youll have pros contacing you in no time to hit this trail! Cant wait for the next video!
Haha how cool would that be! Who would you like to see ride my trail?
that turned out amazing!! awesome work mate, loving the trail so far
Great video, keep going!!!
Cheers mate! Definitely going to keep going. I have lots of ideas. Sadly I am sick with covid at the moment which has slowed down my next build. But I will get back out there soon. Check out some of my earlier videos when you get a chance. Thanks!
I hope you get back soon!! I already watched all your videos 😅😅
This video is so good. I just saw you and I glad I watched the video to the end. Keep up the work man, everybody loves it
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I've been busy building the next feature and hope to have my next video ready soon.
just binged all the episodes and man, its awesome. ive never mountain bhiked but now i wanna go out and do it!
You definitely should give it a try! It's so much fun! Lots of bike shops hire decent bikes so you can give it a try.
I remember the first time I took a bike out onto some actual MTB trails. I was hooked instantly. Thanks for watching!
First video i see of yours not a huge biker but love wood work and carpenty absolutley enjoyed this vid and will watch a hell of a lot more
Thanks mate!
So stoked to see it turned out PERFECT!
Yeiwww! I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't work but all the hard work paid off. Its awesome!
You don't no how happy i am now i discovered your channel, I cant believed you don't have more subs
Stoked you found it James! Hope you enjoy all the videos so far and I plan to bring you lots more!
This is like the golden days of berm peak and creak but BETTER and it's ONGOING :):):) Thank you so much, please keep going!
Wow that is a huge huge huge compliment! I have a great time building the trail and making the videos so I will definitely keep going. Thank you for watching and stoked you found my channel
Found your channel last night and have been binge watching all day! Great stuff!
That is so cool Kyle! Be sure to share it with your MTB friends. Thank you for watching.
I can’t wait to keep building features in my back field. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hell yeah! Building your own trails is the best. Stoked to be some inspiration for you. Please share photos and videos of what you build with me. I would love to see. Thanks
Great info , great country , great news , great builds , great effort , great videos and GREAT RESULTS at the end well done all around love your vids keep up the great work 👏👏👏
Thank you again! Stoked you found my channel.
Reminds me of the days when Berm peak made videos about anything else then push bikes. Awesome production!
I love Berm Peaks backyard build videos. They were my favourite.
Absolute work of art there Luke. Bangin build mate. Keep it up mate, well done! So sick👌🏼
Yeiiwwwwww thank you! Really stoked with this one!
Your trail system is awesome. and that dirt. Man!! Hero dirt!!!
Thanks mate. The top soil is a bit sandy and dusty but 1 ft down is the dream stuff! Just needs a bit of moisture otherwise its really hard to dig up even with the digger. with all the rain we've had it should be good to go for a while.
Yes Luke. Finally. That was so sick. It was worth the wait. 🤙
Yeiwww thanks Juzzo! That was a massive build. Hope to have the next video done way quicker. Still need to plan it all out though.
Just bumped into your channel. Great production value. You are winning at RUclips. Subscribed!
Thank you! I just had a quick look at your channel as well. Looks like some great content. I have subscribed and will be checking out some more content tonight. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Cheers
@6:45 The contrast of the final berm with the bush looks so good at the end 😍🤤
You should see it in real life! It is massive and you can see it through the trees from ages away. It's very cool. Definitely my best feature on the trail.
@@cutlaps that’s awesome! Makes me wonder if you could get a zoom in from far away to close (or vise versa) in a future video
I have scoped out where I can set up a cable cam to do just that.
this channel is destined for big things! so surprised when I saw u only have ~7k subs. quality is insane!
Dude thank you! Stoked you found my channel and enjoyed it.
The algorithm has sent me a gem, cant wait to watch some more trail get built!
Wooo algorithm for the win! Thanks for watching and stoked you enjoyed it.
Love seeing aussie MTB content! Awesome work on the corkscrew mate!
Thanks mate!!! Stoked you enjoyed it.
Hell yeah man !! Been hanging out for this one, glad I had your BikesOnline feature clip to get me by 🔥🔥 Your attention to detail in both building and content creation is sick man ! Keep them coming yeewwww!!
Hell yeah! I was hoping that the bikes online edit would help get my fans by for an extra week or two. Thanks for watching.
You should do a full trail tour vid, awesome work! You inspired me to build a mini bikepark in my backyard, keep up the awesome work
That's so cool. Hope your mini bike park is awesome. And I actually finished a full trail tour video last week for another channel. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/9P2CH4PNaqQ/видео.html
@@cutlaps thanks!
Nice mate, the video did great. Glad to see you getting some recognition.
Thanks! Yeah this video is really starting to take off which is great. The channel is growing pretty quick at the moment.
Thanks youtube algo for putting this in my feed... Awesome build mate and greetings from across the ditch.
Cool! I'm glad the algorithm is doing its thing! I would love to get to NZ for a MTB trip one day.
One thing I love about this guy is how he just gets straight into the action and doesn’t faff about with everything
The key to a succesfull video is to cut the faff. Glad you enjoy it.
Next level Luke. Love it. Another epic build. Well done mate 🤘🤘🤘
Cheers Luke! It was a massive build but dammmm was it worth it. This is by far the highlight of the trail now.
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing it bro! Awesome work as always!
And thank you for watching!
This channel keeps inspiring me to build behind my house. Thanks for the amazing vids!
Thats great to hear! Hope you make some fun trails.
Beautiful feature man!
Cheers mate! It turned out even better than I could have hoped.
I build two dirt trail in the wood, after watching your video I'll build big dirt track, thank you bro! With love from Russia, great job!
Very cool
Yeah Luke!
Another great edit!
The rain in Australia this year has been insane ... Glad the trail hasn't taken it too hard!
Aggie looked right at home in the berm bath haha.
Great to see your wood work back at it. As always your chainsaw, draw knife and mill work is brilliant!
This feature looks like so much fun to ride man, what a great idea 🙂
The corkscrew or something similar seems a fitting name.
Please bring more 😃
Appreciate you going to the effort of getting my name every time too, do you have like a database or just a great memory? Haha.
Yeah I watched that video too, great to see more of an overview of the whole trail and a ride down it 😁
Amazing build! Now I'm going to try to make something like this. GREAT JOB!!!
Very cool. Let me know how it goes!
Im glad I found your channel the stuff you do is awesome, and the quality is insane! Keep it up! Cheers from France
Thanks Felix! Really cool you are watching all the way over in Fance! Thanks for your comment.
