The Kent story is comedian Lee Mack he's one of my absolute favourite comedians he's SO quick. Like it's not really shown in this clip but he thinks of joke responses to things at lightning speed and they're often really corny but it's still funny. If you ever see any clips of Lee Mack or David Mitchell on a show called "Would I Lie To You" (person tells a story..other team have to guess truth or lie) definitely worth a watch. Greg Davies has had some good moment on there. The classic is Bob Mortimer his stories are MENTAL 🤣🤣

There is a political panel show (I can't remember the name) hosted by Dara O'Brian (O'Brian?🤷‍♂️). Lee Mack shines on that shoe. Especially in the segment where they jump in with comments rapid-fire-like.

Oh my gooood you should see Flowers- Olivia Coleman is amazing in everything, but I always knew her as a comedy actress (Peep Show, Hot Fuzz) and Flowers, while a comedy, is so dark and so emotional. That was the point where I started thinking of her as an exceptional actress.
I don’t know if Flowers could be shown in reaction format on RUclips, it might get flagged for content, but just for you personally if you’ve ever enjoyed any dark comedy, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s funny but it’s DEVESTATING. I cried about season 2 for weeks.

    • @Panik637

The guy you don’t know (anyone from Kent? Well you’re a c***) is Lee Mack, who is a most beloved team leader on Would I Lie to You?, which is a top 3 panel show in our house. He’s also guested on Cats Does Countdown, which is a spin-off of 9 Out of 10 Cats mixed with Countdown- basically boring math and letters show Countdown but done by comedians who can’t do math or spell. Very good stuff, hard to explain unless you watch a lot of panel shows 😂
Lee Mack is an exceptionally quick wit and really good at being a loveable asshole. Really good at making true things sound like lies, which serves him well on WILTY.

    • @Panik637
      @Panik637 10 месяцев назад

Now I’m seeing all the other WILTY comments, but yes- even just see a quick episode to get the format of how the game is played, then watch a Bob Mortimer super cut. He’s always the standout story teller, one of the few contestants who I always believe to be telling the truth if only because he SOMEHOW ALWAYS IS.

Mayhem ensues as the pair strive to cope with day-to-day life. It ran for 12years..very akward and cringe heavy comedy. Olivia was in from the first episode. It has ended abruptly so people still miss it and rewatch it.. the thing that makes it more different is the pov style of filming.. it makes the viewer feel like you are in their personal space. It flips from the main characters to supporting cast aswell. Interesting look into more British comedy(And Europeans indentify alot with). As I am Estonian I appreciate the sarcasm and akwardness of British comedies. Not more than American, but we just consume their entertainment as much.. Sorry I had to answer.. going to watch your new reaction now. Toad in the hole is a fairly quick and easy meal consisting of sausages cooked in a pan of batter. The red chair segment on Graham Norton is for members of the public, and if the guests don't find their story entertaining, they can pull a lever to tip the storyteller backwards out of the chair. You say Olivia Coleman is a thespian but the UK mainly knows her rise to stardom from comedy performances, until she'd already established herself.
Lee Mack has a sitcom called 'Not Going Out', which is hilarious and has been running since 2006. It's on hiatus, for now. He trialled an American version on "Kelsey Grammar Presents: The Sketch Show" but it was terrible and didn't translate because the American humour was very flat.

FYI, if you do come to New Zealand (and you should!), be aware that the "c" word is actually used as a term of endearment among parts of the population. But you might hear someone called a "GC" which is a Good C... but more polite. And it's also used as an insult, so it all depends on context. But yeah, it doesn't have the same shock value as it does to Americans, particularly among younger folk.

You should do the Graham Norton episode where Mark Wahlberg is so hammered he actually passes out. He also spends the episode blatantly hitting on Sarah Silverman. He passes out wakes up and then keeps hitting on Sarah Silverman it was an epic performance from Marky Mark.

Okay, this I have to comment on :) The sausage in the father-in-law is actually pig in a blanket. The thing is, in Russian (my native tongue), father-in-law is test', which is also the word for dough, 'testo' in the nominative case (we call the dish 'sausage in dough' here :))
Also, I've been in love with Lee Mack (the Kent story) for over a decade now, he's such a genuine and funny person!

      Okay, the other ones are"
"Sausage in the Father-In-Law" is actually "Sausage in Dough" (note: I believe "Toad in the Hole" is sausage in mashed potatoes (an English dish); however, ask someone English to find out for sure)
"German-type Sexual Harassment" should be "German-style Salty Pork Knuckle" (not really better - lol)
"Hand Shredded Ass Meat" is actually "Shredded Potato Meat" (according to the symbols above the translation; however, the symbols below the translates directly as "Seasoned Shredded Donkey Meat" which is closer to the truth I'm betting)
"A Variety of Opinions" is actually "A Variety of Birds that change daily served with bread"
And, oddly enough (this is beyond belief), the "Sweet Tight Purry" actually translates as, you guessed it, "Sweet Tight Pussy"
The items liked "Cow Something", "Nuts with Scum", "Strawberries with Scum" and "Chocolate Puke" has nothing we can translate from so your guess is as good as mine. LOL
