Good watch. I've noticed it in my games at low elo where I expect the enemy jungler to do one thing, like take drag or rift, and then finding out that they are not doing what I expected.
Hard part for me is acting on that info and what you described with coming up with an option B of what they could be doing and thinking about what I should do.

In low elo when they do what you dont expect, usually it is because they are doing the wrong/inefficient thing. Punish that hard when you notice it. c:

Doing something similar as in asking myself 'what would I do if I was enemy jungler' got me climbing. It's a super easy thing to do as a ganking jungler just to cover with this info and pretty much always results in a lead you can start snowballing with. My earlygame flowchart (as a Reksai otp) goes (basically I check myself for one of the following and look for whats the most likely to result in a lead) ---------This is basically just things youd think about in champ select though
-> look what side you would start on in his position -> do I beat enemy jgler early? if yes (almost always the case) -> a good option very often especially into farming junglers is to start same side, do something like 4 camps (ex. blueside -> red), really depends on how fast enemy jgl clears and how much you know, into invade, even if the matchup is not great they tend to be lower due to doing their buff. I do this mainly into farming junglers because from my experience disrupting their clear is the most effective way of winning the game.
-> look what side you would start on in his position -> if I need to cover the lane (ex. a Draven lane or Kayle bounce, basically something that loses you the game if you dont take care of it) -> match enemy jungle (you can lanegank or just be nearby is ok sometimes) -> can lead to 2v2/3v3 kills -> enemy jungler can never face you again -> you can run over the game
-> look lane matchups and if there's something extremely volatile or easy to gank just path towards it/play around it. (ex. (enemy) Yasuo lanes, tp ignite lanes, ranged tops, ofc you'd still need to consider all other lanes and it's worth it leaving your botlane alone for the first few clears)
There's way more that goes through my head when in champ select tbh but this is a rough estimate of the main 3 ways I play earlygames to get a lead, in lead I mean an advantage big enough to start fullcycling yours into enemy jungle without him being able to stop you, basically a lead that can end the game most of the time, also results in funny 8-10cspm games.

I am steadily improving my perception of "how much CS does my enemy jingler have" and then exploiting whatever camps they didnt get. It has led to me gradually improving my farm on Elise, and my aggressive playstyle is a little bit more enhanced.
Jinglers are still no picnic to track, but i am gradually getting there.
