This matchup from what I can see is either the Jack-o bullies Slayer in the corner with her groupies, or he hits her twice and she dies. I swear it looks more fun than it sounds
the 2d nerfs were discouraging at first but they made me learn more new combos so i want to stay positive. (please give my girl good candies in the future though 😢)
Slayer would be very bad in matchups like this, given his bad defense. However, he can hit Sol's wife (who also has very low defense) pretty damn hard.

The 2D nerf was so unnecessary man it breaks my heart. Her rushdown with oki loop after hard knockdown was my favorite play style. You're forced to play her like a zoner now. It also feels like they shadow nerfed her damage by a bit. Would absolutely take back 2D over 236 dash cancel any day. Like how are you going to give a technical character less freedom to be technical, just laber her a zoner atp. So many characters were in a good spot, it blows my mind why they went in so many whack directions with the balances.
The game really doesn't seem fair at all. Even if Jack'O has all the theoretical pressure, the neutral is the same for both, and Jack'O has to win it 7+ times, while Slayer 2. Low damage characters are doing way too little this season.
the nice thing about picking up jack-o is that your opponents know even less about how minion pressure works than you do, so if you learn the basics you can get pretty far while you're still learning the ropes

I would honestly like to learn Jack-O. Even if just for fun. But going from Elphelt to Jack-O just seems really difficult. 😅

How do you lose even a single round as slayer?
They took away his invincible reversal, he’s slightly less degenerate now
He lost health in a patch where everyone got health, therefore his damage got nerfed indirectly (except Pilebunker)
