One thing you don't want to miss at KSC is the Astronaut Encounter. It is a great opportunity to get to listen to an actual astronaut that has been to space. You can meet them after their presentation, and ask question or get photos. Kennedy Space Center is a lot to take in during a one-day visit. I got the Atlantic pass for around $90, and visit on a Thursday and Friday. I had an amazing time at KSC!
