It's really great to read the comment sections in Bob Ross videos. The amount of love directed to this one man is incredible, especially when you think about the fact that he just paints. But it's good to see so many other love Bob Ross like I do.
21 years today this man has been gone from the earth and I still use his videos to fall asleep. Thank you uploaded for being consistent with it uploads, it truly means a lot to me. I use the videos every night to help me sleep no medication needed. All I have to say is thank you and REST IN PAINT BOB ROSS, you live through your art and videos, we love and miss you man
There were fantastic/ happy days before this day in 1995 came. 21 years ago today this world lost a true loving painter and an icon with a wonderful soothing voice. That man was Bob Ross. RIP and may God Bless him in the happy little clouds above. We celebrate his life and America together.
My favorite colors that Bob Ross uses: Pthalo Blue Prussian Blue Sap Green Cadmium Yellow Dark Sienna Van Dyke Brown Titanium White Liquid White Black Jesso Alizarin Crimson Bright Red
I suck at painting, but I bought a paintbrush, a brush beater rack, and an easel to experience the joy of beating the devil out of my brush. Bob Ross was right, it is fun!
This is one of the coolest paintings I have watched him paint. The crazy thing is that this aired the day after I was born. I'm nearly 32 watching a video as old as I am.
Bob has been gone 21 years today. Watching his beautiful work and soothing demeanor have been such beautiful gifts. One of the most wonderful men to walk the earth. RIP.
Bob Ross. Bob. Such a simple name, yet so majestic and powerful. Bob - a name that can pierce the skys... and it has. Even though Bob is no longer with us today, he is not absent. For when he passed, he did not simply cease to exist. No... NO DAMMIT!! Bob ascended. Ascended beyond our 3rd dimensional realm. He went to a place far beyond our own... The Happy Little Dimension. There Bob resides. He stands up there happy as can be. But he is not idle. No, right now, in a dimension higher and beyond our own, Bob is painting. Painting the very fabric of our dimensions He stands there, painting what we see right now, what we will see in the future, and what we saw in the past. Bob paints or world as we see it. There is no war, no disease, no death, and no sadness... only happy accidents. So next time you stub your toe, spill your milk, bit your lip, or accidentally bifurcate yourself, know it was only an accident. A happy - slightly messy - accident.
"There~", "maybe in our world there's a...", "Let it happen", "Titanium wHite" "There are no mistakes; just happy accidents!" "Now then" "Let us just clean the brush: Wash it off, hehe, and just beat the devil out of it" - Bob Ross, Master Artisan
Yes. I grew up watch his show for two reasons. One, He is a great teacher. And two, for the brain tingles. I would sit in a suspended brain mode for the whole show. I didn't even know what ASMR was then. For those that don't know what ASMR is, google it.
If Bob had changed his vocal tone ever so slightly, he could have gone all passive-aggressive on the viewer: "Whatever, you can have more trees like that I GUESS."
If every art class teacher could be like Bob Ross, maybe I'd have give up my hopes of becoming an economist and went on beating the devil out of my brush til the day I passed away
21:54 😂this cute"mhrrrr" made me laugh😂he wanted to show how to draw this line that it will look Strong ... sweeeeet hahah sorry for bad Englisch ...Love from Germany💓
I noticed this too, I respect Bob very much, but that tree behind the mountains bothers me, if the mountain is that big then tree behind it is massive. I'm not referring to the line of trees in front of the mountain.
Definitely oil. He uses his own brand, but any brand of oil painting will do as long as it is very firm (as opposed to the more 'liquid' kind). Notice the paint in his pallet stays exactly where it is. If he needs to thin it down he uses either liquid white, or liquid clear or odorless thinner. Typically the wet on wet technique needs very firm oil paint on top of some medium (like liquid white etc.)
this is the first time I am noticing this in any of bobs videos... but does he just copy a painting he did earlier? at 5:56 and 6:05 he looks to the corner as if he is copying his own work. I dont really care because he is still such a great artist! but I was always wondering how he knew what to paint and where to put things so quickly.
Yes he paints the each painting before the show in higher detail and uses it as a reference. I think one season he did it all on the spot because the reference paintings got stole
I love how Bob Ross always laughs or smiles when he "beats the devil out of" the brush
It's contagious. :)
+Harold Carpenter no
He truly gets a kick out of it!!!!
I LOOOOVVVVEEEE those parts!🤘🎸🤘😇🤘🍻🍻🤩🤩🥰

A genius and a legend!
Absolutely unreal talent, RIP Bob Ross.
I suck at painting, but I bought a paintbrush, a brush beater rack, and an easel to experience the joy of beating the devil out of my brush. Bob Ross was right, it is fun!
I'm sure that if you just keep up with it and practice, you'll get great.
Absolutely! I practiced as much as I can, and now I'm an expert brush beater. That devil doesn't stand a chance.
+JSone4Design 😂 I love banter like this
its nice to see that people still watch him
Around 1 million people watched the entire series on Twitch on Bob's birthday last year.
+Have A Cigar how often does he go live on twitch ( yes I know he died )
+Jackar389 no more it was a kinda memoire stream

I love all his little sound effects.... "Zhooom! Zhooom!"
I just really love this man. That's all. Thanks for reading.
You're welcome
Sorry but nvm
This is one of the coolest paintings I have watched him paint. The crazy thing is that this aired the day after I was born. I'm nearly 32 watching a video as old as I am.
I just love the little squirrel from the intro and the end credits. So adorable!

I fell asleep last night watching one
I always use my headphones when I whatch Bobs videos.😀
Bob has been gone 21 years today. Watching his beautiful work and soothing demeanor have been such beautiful gifts. One of the most wonderful men to walk the earth. RIP.
Hard to believe he was a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force for 20 years before he started painting on TV.
+Brandon Golway Yes that seems such the opposite of Bob. He often said he didn't like yelling in the AF and how happy he was to be painting.
Just imagine Bob living now in the pandemic it'd be very awesome

That was beautiful.
You have just made my day. Like you just got possessed by Bob himself for a moment.

The original ASMR.
Yes. I grew up watch his show for two reasons. One, He is a great teacher. And two, for the brain tingles. I would sit in a suspended brain mode for the whole show. I didn't even know what ASMR was then. For those that don't know what ASMR is, google it.
And the best ASMR
Sometimes I just turn on Bob Ross when I go to bed and I’m asleep in seconds
and what a great man HE IS
If Bob had changed his vocal tone ever so slightly, he could have gone all passive-aggressive on the viewer:
"Whatever, you can have more trees like that I GUESS."
Lol! Thanks for the laugh 😆
If every art class teacher could be like Bob Ross, maybe I'd have give up my hopes of becoming an economist and went on beating the devil out of my brush til the day I passed away

Anyone notice how massive the trees behind the mountain are?
I noticed this too, I respect Bob very much, but that tree behind the mountains bothers me, if the mountain is that big then tree behind it is massive. I'm not referring to the line of trees in front of the mountain.
Oops, I was wrong, should have known and waited till the end!
He didn't sign the painting at the end. How rare/frequent was that?
AND 11TH VIEW
gg
hey! can anyone tell me what type of paint he is using? acrylic? oil? thanks!
oil
Definitely oil. He uses his own brand, but any brand of oil painting will do as long as it is very firm (as opposed to the more 'liquid' kind). Who is the one who uploads these old shows
The Bob Ross Company.. They still sell art supplies and do classes as well.
6:20 rip devil
I like his art but his voice is sooo soft makes me go to sleep in minutes. (no offfense) ;)
while he was painting this my dad broke his arm
Hope he gets better soon.
+w no this was back when it was originally painted in the 80s
Bob Ross died 21 years ago on this day
Such an amazing dude
AND HIS NAME IS DARK SINNA
Bob Ross is a distant relative of Chuck Norris... True story
Really?! Wow.
Is it thalo, phthalo, or pthalo
hello
Op never mind they're in front now lol
this is the first time I am noticing this in any of bobs videos... but does he just copy a painting he did earlier? at 5:56 and 6:05 he looks to the corner as if he is copying his own work. I dont really care because he is still such a great artist! but I was always wondering how he knew what to paint and where to put things so quickly.
he says that he doesnt in some episodes
Yes he paints the each painting before the show in higher detail and uses it as a reference. I think one season he did it all on the spot because the reference paintings got stole
I believe so, yes.
Yep, before shooting the series he would paint thirteen paintings, one for each episode, to use as a guide.
He painted all his pictures before filming that season, then repaints them on the video with the 30 min. time limit.
have you ever noticed that bob doesn't have half of one of his fingers in his left hand?
He lost part of it as a kid in a plumbing or carpeting accident or something like that
+Hell Kitty I think it is because he helped his father at work or something like that and his finger was closed on a door
+Yonatan Heller that what happened to my aunt exempt it was at school and not in plumbing (she lost her finger in a door)
jonathan yagev he lost part of his finger in training when he was an army sergeant
