Love Is Not Easily Angered | 1 Corinthians 13 | Sunday School Lesson for Kids

Many people, whether they realize it or not, really like to be angry. Anger can make you feel powerful, but it's usually far from what God wants for you. The Bible says that it should be hard to make you angry. Godly love is not easily angered. The more you love, the easier it is to not lose your temper!
It can be really difficult to control your temper, so much so that you might think it's impossible! But it's not impossible. In fact, sometimes it's incredibly easy! For one thing, no matter how quickly you usually get angry, you almost always have time to think things through. Anger is usually something that we choose to feel (whether we realize it or not) instead of some other bad emotion. When you're angry, it may just be that you are sad or scared or tired or overwhelmed (or just about any other bad emotion!). Also, most of us are able to very easily control our tempers depending on who's nearby. If your "worst enemy" spilled their drink on you, your reaction would probably be nothing like your favorite celebrity did the same thing to you. It's not that anger is always wrong (Jesus got very angry!) but it should be very difficult to make you angry. Godly love is not easily angered.
