Changan Leads 2023 Manila International Auto Show in World Trade Center, Pasay City!

Rev up your engines folks! Here comes the country’s most anticipated automotive show & driving event - the Manila International Auto Show or MIAS - & it’s bigger, better than ever. This is the most extensive car display that never fails to impress & excite car aficionados & common drivers like us. Lo & behold! The Chinese brand’s domination of last year’s MIAS (after 2-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic) was no fluke. In fact, of the 15 brands that participated this year, 9 originated from China. It marks the 2nd time the Chinese auto brands occupied majority of the booths compared to other brands from other countries combined.
Chinese brands today have become an irresistible necessity with an attractive value-for-money proposition in the market. Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI), the exclusive distributor of Changan vehicles in the country led by its President & CEO Maria Fe Perez Agudo aims to change the Philippine automotive landscape with powerhouse product lines with uncompromising quality & lasting safety backed by Changan’s time-honored tradition of 160 years of excellence in the business of car assembly. The other brands from China include the GAC, Astara, MG, Geely, Chery, Foton, BYD & the Great Wall. This year’s MIAS also showcases the French Peugeot, US’ Ford, Japanese Nissan, Mitsubishi & Subaru & Korea’s Hyundai. Around 1,000 cars will be on display including fancy cars that you could take pictures on or even own one plus you can feast your eyes on gorgeous car show models posing next to your dream car. The show’s organizer, Worldbex Services International hopes to unite the auto industry in a harmonious ecosystem to improve private transportation throughout the whole country.
Among the highlights of MIAS is the car launching of the newest cars & latest innovations by each brand; the local car club display of different brands that rolls out the cool look & chic design of stock & modified cars; a zone for muscular trucks & their versatile, heavy-duty functions; an avenue where you can actually drive your favorite car that you’re eyeing to buy; a jaw-dropping car stunt live exhibition by Guinness world record holder & British performer Russ Swift; an exhibit where collectors & fans of die-cast share or trade their rarest & most unique collections; & a Petron people’s choice award deciding which cars they like best.
Debuted in April 2015, this year’s 18th MIAS edition with theme “Shaping Mobility” runs from April 13-16 at the expansive World Trade Center in Pasay City, Metro Manila from 10 AM to 9 PM. Ticket prices were pegged at PhP100 per entry regardless of age at the venue itself or online. Changan booth is conveniently located at the front & center of MIAS. Spicing up Changan's opening was a sing & dance performance by singer/actress Kim Molina, winner of the title Senior Grand Champion Vocalist of the World.
