Wouldn't go as far as calling it a scam since the certification gets changed/improved. It's a way to ensure that our certs remain current. I do believe it's motivated by a cash grab but I think more newcomers to the program benefit.
@@Sapna4you We were all provided certificates with no expiry date, and now we get a mail saying wow your certificates are expired and you need to give money to hope to reclaim them. And the money is not meagre, it's a bit difficult to cough up money to procure something which you don't know if it will be valuable in a year or not.
People that have paid for a lifetime certification ( myself included) have been basically conned because what was promised was not delivered. This is a unilateral reduction of delivered product validity, which was applied retroactively on issued certificates. An absolute money grab that will kill ITIL.
Peoplecert is a bad organization. I took an exam to get a certified six sigma black belt from IASSC. As their guideline, IASSC accepts us to use the calculator which is non-programmed but the proctor did not accept it when I took the exam. During my exam, I found the calculator on the exam did calculate wrong. Moreover, the calculator on the exam cannot help us to calculate square root or log.. that are clearly required on the exam. After that she accepted me to use my own calculator which is non-programmed => It was very stressful and a waste of my time too. I found some questions in my exam were not totally correct, For example: The question about the parameters of process capability index Cp. The process capability index will be Cpk but the question included Cp too => Too confused. The formula about 2 sample T (Unequal variance) on IASSC is also not correct. I got the failed exam result and I did not agree with that result, I asked them to provide me with the detailed result and they required me to pay a fee as their appeals policy, no feedback about the incorrect question, incorrect formula, crazy calculator policy. I am a quality guy too, I cannot believe that if my customer asks me about the detailed result then I ask them to pay a fee then I will give them. How reasonable, they will cut business for sure. Customer has to pay a fee for your team to check what's wrong from your team. Is that the quality principle of IASSC? I am pretty disappointed, how can your organization distribute the quality while your own quality is too bad like that. Too stressful, waste time and money on things that are not worth it.

It is an absolute scam to issue certificates without a term and to add a term afterwards just to collect more money. Shame on you for your greed...
Plz tell in details what happened
