I find watching you play this much more amusing than when I played it myself. I would've loved to see your oddities on the rest of the game, actually. lol
I must admit, I am having way more fun playing this than I originally thought I would. The creativity involved in this game is phenomenal. You can go the easy way and use basic "items" or you can go full on potato and use Cthulhu just to cut a rope. 9/10 for me.
Its a mixture, the world is completely open and you can go where you want and do what you want to do when you want to do it, but you have to pay the first area a visit to unlock the world as a whole.
The ability to add adjectives to words was added in Super Scribblenauts, just now you can add them to existing items in the world without the use of potions.
TotalBiscuit I don't think you've heard of the second Scribblenauts game, Super Scribblenauts; that's the game that added the ability to use adjectives. Scribblenauts Unlimited brings the world map and item editor
Finished this game a couple of days ago, it was really fun to solve puzzles in a different way. Since there are several solutions to every puzzle it really is unique in a way :)
To anyone interested... This game is currently on sale at Amazon (Holiday Sale 2012) as a digital download for $7.49. It uses Steam anyways... so you may as well buy it on Amazon.
Adjectives could always be done in Scribblenauts. Friendly, Big, Small, Tall, Evil, Zombified, Ghostly, Flying, etc etc. You just couldn't add them onto already created objects. Loved the originals, might have to pick this one up too.
Cthulu. Amazing. Before watching this video I wanted the game more than I wanted a dog. Now I want it more than I want 5 ponies, 6 mice, 98 squirrels and a pet baby dinosaur. I really want this game.
Oh yes please. This was very amusing, I would like to see some more. I think I will pick up the game as well. I wish there was a button to press to attack/use instead of using the menu, that seemed abit awkward.
News update that's a month or two old now, TotalBiscuit lives in the US. Also we generally call him TotalBiscuit, not TotalHalibut, hence we call him TB, not TH.
Scribblenauts: Just a red-hatted robot kid. Super Scribblenauts: Same thing. Scribblenauts Unlimited: A kid named Maxwell who has a magical notebook and is trying to save his sister Yay, logic!
8:45 In Scribblenauts (The first one) you could spawn starites to immediately beat a level. There's a reference to this in the end of Super Scribblenauts (The second one), where you... *SPOILERS* ...beat the final level by summoning a starite to replace the one your evil twin destroyed when his cow-abducting UFO crashed on the moon after you took after it in your flying bathtup to fire constellations at it. It was a silly level.
After helping the clown I almost left St. Asterisk. Then an evil idea stirred in my mind. I clicked on the clown... clicked "add adjective"... then added "murderous". Then I gave him a knife and watched as he hunted the doctors and nurses on his unicycle. Hopefully my story will convince you to get this game if TB's video didn't already.
Granted, I would love to see him do a playthrough. I looked at some of the other playthroughs or reviews people have done and TB was by far the best. Everyone else didn't even attempt to push the creativity of the game like TB did. Or do it as hilariously.
The enjoyment isn't in solving the problems the fastest or simplest ways or the "difficulty" of the tasks, but in the use of convoluted, bizarre, stupid solutions you make to solve the problems.
@DeadlySprinklez In the original Scribblenauts the kid was named Maxwell too. Super Scribblenauts added more things into the game and you could use adjectives. But I have to agree Scribblenauts Unlimited is a great game. Finally a story. :)
Its like being a little kid who kid do whatever he/she wanted, and if you are kid, most likely, it's like your own playground basically....even though I have no idea what the main objective is for this game, but it looks pretty fun.
You know, this is perhaps one of those classical games, designed around the concept of 'having fun', which I believe is the original concept of all games?
It isn't meant to be a challange, the fun part is finding the wackiest way to solve each thing, for example the baby in the tree i did by burning the tree down with a flaming, firebreathing unicorn, try telling me that isn't awesome.
The game generally lets you do whatever the hell you want, it didn't take limb, but it takes pretty much any organ. The amount of solutions are surprising for simple problems. You tend to be 'I can do that?'
Fun fact #2:
Scribble Nauts Unlimited had to program over 75,000 basic adjectives and items to make it unlimited.
One of TB's funniest videos, I think.
I Really wish scribblenauts unlimited had multiplayer.....
wait, that would be a bad idea D:
10:20.
Of course, it's a heart attack!
I find watching you play this much more amusing than when I played it myself. I would've loved to see your oddities on the rest of the game, actually. lol
Super George Washington and Mega Abe Lincoln fighting Ultra Werewolf and Super Jesus
"I just beat that guy with his own eyes... This is a game for kids, right?" TotalBiscuit 2012
11:30 I was seriously just whispering "stop, why won't you stop?! It's a hit first straight laser!" I nearly cried, TB please cmon.
I love this game, it's so fun and cute!! Although I wish I could get the stuff from the steam marketplace to work, I found Total Biscuit after all!
dude you need to make a series of this, i love your attitude while playing it
"Those asking by the way, there is a tophat."
"This is not sufficient. A huge tophat."
"Excellent, much better. This is entirely standard."
Win
You should do more episodes! This video is hilarous :P
I know you don't do play-through's, but honestly I would love to see more of this. :D
Please do a Let's Play! Watching you spawn dinosaurs etc to solve problems makes my day infinitely better :)
Best episode ever. I could watch TB play this for hours.
TotalBiscuit, A play through of this game seems like it would be very humerous
I must admit, I am having way more fun playing this than I originally thought I would. The creativity involved in this game is phenomenal. You can go the easy way and use basic "items" or you can go full on potato and use Cthulhu just to cut a rope. 9/10 for me.
I'm so glad you did a wtf of this game. I never would have looked twice at this but now I really want it.
I played in 2013. And right now, decided to recall a time when I was 8 years old) Ooh this is the time was)))
Agree, i would totally enjoy series of scriblenauts with you
Can you please make a series for this, it is entirely too fun to watch you play this.
Its a mixture, the world is completely open and you can go where you want and do what you want to do when you want to do it, but you have to pay the first area a visit to unlock the world as a whole.
Dude this game is the most amazing part of its series yet made. Thanks for the review!
This video came out on my birthday-it's been TB's most hilarious one yet.
I'd also love to see a series of this.
The "Silly Hat" made me subscribe! This is bree-lliant!
The ability to add adjectives to words was added in Super Scribblenauts, just now you can add them to existing items in the world without the use of potions.
This is the most entertaining TB's video ever.
TotalBiscuit I don't think you've heard of the second Scribblenauts game, Super Scribblenauts; that's the game that added the ability to use adjectives. Scribblenauts Unlimited brings the world map and item editor
can you please make a lets play that was freaking hillarious X'^D im am literaly crying of laughter on this or your other channel
Finished this game a couple of days ago, it was really fun to solve puzzles in a different way. Since there are several solutions to every puzzle it really is unique in a way :)
Just got this on The Humble Bundle, needed to see what it was :D
I haven't seen you enjoy a game this much for a long time.
Easy way to get rid of morning traffic, I'll be sure to try it :)
And this is perfect. Best use of 25 minutes, ever.
laughed my ass of too. indeed you have to make a series!
I lost it at the firehouse dog with the laser gun driving away.
I remember this game from years ago when i played it on the DS, i was obbssesed with it. I love this game.
You've uncovered the Lumberjack-Surgeon conspiracy!!!
To anyone interested... This game is currently on sale at Amazon (Holiday Sale 2012) as a digital download for $7.49. It uses Steam anyways... so you may as well buy it on Amazon.
OMFG this is hilarious!!! You should do a lets play!
I was almost yellin' "Baby dinosaur!" when TB made the crane enormous :D
Happy he gave it one :D
Adjectives could always be done in Scribblenauts. Friendly, Big, Small, Tall, Evil, Zombified, Ghostly, Flying, etc etc. You just couldn't add them onto already created objects.

ARG.... I was waiting for you to make a Total Biscuit!
Cthulu.

I cant believe someone still remembers that reference :D
News update that's a month or two old now, TotalBiscuit lives in the US. Also we generally call him TotalBiscuit, not TotalHalibut, hence we call him TB, not TH.
I totally overlooked this as a kids game now I see it's amazing!
when the x shows it just means u cant put the object there because its touching something when u are placing it down like going thorough a wall etc
this made me laugh so hard... I would love to see TB play more of this game
10:50 TB's unruly heart refuses to be caged like some bird
Scribblenauts: Just a red-hatted robot kid.
Super Scribblenauts: Same thing.
Scribblenauts Unlimited: A kid named Maxwell who has a magical notebook and is trying to save his sister
Yay, logic!
8:45

"What's in the box?"
Did a video game for kids 6 and up make a reference to a rated R movie, that involves a human head inside a box?
TB, I am hereby requesting you play this game NONSTOP and show your loving viewers just how good it is. I am actually getting drawn into it.
Infinitely more imaginative than most of the youtubers doing videos of this game? Yes, I believe so too.
I remember the ESRB's description of the game.
"steak can be attached to a baby to attract lions"
Currently a preorder for Europe at least I think. I live in the Netherlands and it hasn't been released yet. It was on steam for NA before.
Such a sense of humor. I love it.
I think I've fallen madly in love with this game.
I love it when you think of a solution and then one second later TB thinks of the same thing.
oh man this is so fucking hilarious i could watch you play this great game for hours
It isn't on the Australian Steam store yet, but I just purchased mine through Amazon for the same price and it activated and works fine on Steam.
After helping the clown I almost left St. Asterisk. Then an evil idea stirred in my mind. I clicked on the clown... clicked "add adjective"... then added "murderous". Then I gave him a knife and watched as he hunted the doctors and nurses on his unicycle. Hopefully my story will convince you to get this game if TB's video didn't already.
next week its 75% off @ amazon starting on the 24th- the key is good in all regions.
Granted, I would love to see him do a playthrough. I looked at some of the other playthroughs or reviews people have done and TB was by far the best. Everyone else didn't even attempt to push the creativity of the game like TB did. Or do it as hilariously.
omg, my heart melted by firemans dog, riding his shiny firetruck n fightning fires n cats with his lasergun :D
"it's a baby dinosaur, excellent" - this is so hilarious, gonna buy this game for sure
Actually the translations are already done, they are optional in the US version already. It's something outside of development according to the devs.
I`m so gonna get myself a ton of tactical Biscuits when I get this game!
!

You do have so much power in the game. If you wanted to you can add adjectives to yourself like Immortal. or something.
I do that all the time if the game's so good I just can't get enough of it.
Its like being a little kid who kid do whatever he/she wanted, and if you are kid, most likely, it's like your own playground basically....even though I have no idea what the main objective is for this game, but it looks pretty fun.
His been Maxwell the whole time and has always had a magical notebook
Please oh please do a Let's Play of this, I desire to see further into that wicked mind of yours!
totalbiscuits gonna send baby dinosaurs, mechanics and dancing cthulus for you!!!
I've been hooked since the first one!
I just saw a dancing Chtulhu punching the clown... my day has been made.
"Look at me, I am from Hicksville, and so forth."
could convince anyone.
i ' m really tempted to pick up this game on steam sale.
You know, this is perhaps one of those classical games, designed around the concept of 'having fun', which I believe is the original concept of all games?
It's more like going to a grocer, looking at what they have, then going home and making clones of it.
what dancing Cthulhu isn't enough for you?
I was bawling my eyes out that was so funny
Oh my good lord, never laughed so much before on a video, brilliant stuff
It's a pretty toy that sacrifices gameplay to get a message across. It does have one of the best endings of 2012 though.
exactly how it works, you can mess around on ANY level, and do the missions whenever/whichever order you want
"Yes, I will help clear this traffic by fighting a giant monster with a large minigun."
every place in capital city is tied into grammar, CAPITAL city, VIRGULE (comma in frech), the UNDERLINE. etc. take a look
It isn't meant to be a challange, the fun part is finding the wackiest way to solve each thing, for example the baby in the tree i did by burning the tree down with a flaming, firebreathing unicorn, try telling me that isn't awesome.
i know TB most likely wont but god i would love to see him do more video's of this game this is so funny!!!!!
i could probably watch TB play this game all day
This is one of the funnier TB videos.
13:55 I completely lost it, milk out of nose and all....
I envy you TB. Getting Scribblenauts in the UK.
Did anyone else think of Bayer Asprin as the solution for the Heart attack at 10:15
''Options screen is fairly limited.''
I see what you did there, TotalBiscuit.
This was hilarious, wish he would do more
