I think you're referring to your ready position. "Elbows out" helps in general but doesn't help square the racket face on a half volley. Good advice though!
@@DailyTennisLesson That is when it's used for me. Apparently they yell at me saying all strokes not at the net are full swings with follow through. Also to avoid going through no man's land at all times.
good stuff ...one of the best tips I ever got on 1/2 volleys was to feel you are dragging a mop ...helps to avoid the wrist flicking at the ball
I like that tip a lot. I might have to steal that :)
You have some of the best higher level tips on youtube. There are a lot of nuances that you cover that others don't thanks
I try to cover it all. Feel free to give me more ideas and I'll try to oblige with a video!
super helpful indeed!!thanks so much and God bless,,
You got it Cornelio!
Great video
Thanks for watching Rob!
Super helpful Brady .. Thank you! 💫
Happy to help Raghav!
Super helpful. Thank you
Happy to help!
Very useful. Thank you. When and where should we use half volley?
This is not a shot you choose to hit, but rather one you HAVE to hit. If you can take it as a volley you should, but it's not possible.
Great video Brady.
What type of Head Racquet are you using?
Radical MP at the moment.
how about elbow out ready stand position.... would this auto keep the half volley rack quared with the ball ? thank you.

@@DailyTennisLesson Thank you.
How to handle heavy top spin with it?
Same method and technique. Keep a firm grip and keep your racket head slightly shut so ball doesn't pop up, which is common against heavy spin.
Long live McEnroe and Edberg!
Haha...two of the best!
Why should we half volley and when compared to a full groundstroke? I'm always yelled at for doing half volleys.
Basically your opponent has forced you to hit one, most likely as you're transitioning to the net. Not a preferred shot to hit but a necessity.

@@jeffreylook9849 How are you supposed to get to the net then? Teleport? :)
@@DailyTennisLesson No idea! When I ask there is no satisfying answer.
