This is the first place you've reviewed that just underwowed me. My God, granted the ocean view is cool, but I would be upset paying $800 a night. Very, very upset. I like the other hotels much better. But please continue with your reviews. You have got it made man. We all envy you.

It's becuase it's a W Hotel. If it was a Marriott or Hilton brand hotel it would be $300-$400.

Exactly. I feel many aren't familiar with the Brand.

Room decor looks like a freshman college dorm room. I'll take a hard pass at this hotel. This is not luxury.

100% luxury. It does have a bit of a dorm vibe.

$800 is a lot for that room.
    I would never stay there.
    Thanks for the warning video.

Wow, not at all what I expected for $800. I like all of the other Puerta Vallarta rooms you have reviewed better. Looks like a USC college dorm room.

For $800 it should be beach front. I would expect to hear the ocean waves from my room.

Thanks for sharing. IMO, this has to be the worst room you stayed at in Mexico you stayed at this trip. Maybe the view is nice, but it reminds of a model room at IKEA or some motel. Very small and unappealing. Not feeling $800....heck, not even $200

My wife would be very disappointed in that room. I don't think that the coffee maker should be in the bathroom and that entrance looked like a secure entrance into a prison!
That being said, it looks like a beautiful location.

For $800 the room was meh...not impressed at all. I agree with you in regards to the fridge, it should have atleast been the size of the metal container. One thing kinda grossed me out...why the hell was the coffee maker on the sink where you would be washing your dirty hands, brushing and flossing you teeth, gargling mouthwash...? Coffee maker needs a new spot. I mean this is a 5 star, right?

I would expect more from a W hotel, does not have a luxury feel to me. I much prefer the other properties you visited

  • @annhenriques3520

I haven’t seen the Experience video for this property yet, but my initial opinion just based on the room is not positive, especially at $800 a night. The decor is bright, and a change from the usual, but I prefer proper drawers and a closet for storage. I may be paranoid about this, but the main entrance and patio side look easy to break into, which is a deal breaker.
We’ll see if the Experiences video makes my comments here seem extremely dumb. 😁

I like that corrugated steel cabinet too, but the mini-mini-fridge is disappointing. You could easily put the unrefridgerables (copyright 2021) on top instead of in the cabinet space. I love W's, but I want to know more about the area and its exclusivity. View was nice, but I've HAD better. Love the tub and the chaise lounge on the patio too. Wondering what else the hotel offers?

Loved your vids of Sheraton, Westin and Marriott in PV. This hotel room is cheap compared to them, yet triple the price. I know Punta Mita is “exclusive” but they better have spas, saunas, swim up pool bars, golf, etc., to make it worth $800.
Also, crucial - you don’t mention what month of year you’re visiting. PV is super seasonal. What you pay $400/night in Dec-Mar will cost you $125/night in June-October.

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  2 года назад

Good insights. From my experience, PV seasonality is a bit more stretched than that and more follows traditional Caribbean seasonality. Peak season - Nov-Apr
Off season - may - oct

There were just a few. Now I was at the property only for a few days, so my snapshot is just that. But The situation isn't nearly as bad as what I've encountered in the Midwest on a hot and humid day.

Oh man! Hate to be negative but what a disappointing. I was really waiting for at least a plunge pool at the end of the room. Plus the room is really small and not comfortable. Too late to ask for your money back 😂. Anyways…hope that everything else is great at the property. Watch you later.
