Some cost saving can be seen in the 360Wh battery and 160mm brake rotors, and I'd consider a rear light a safety necessity, but at this price it would be almost impossible to find anything better. Is that your Plymouth Scamp I saw at the end? My brother and I used to run a '71 Scamp and a '69 Valiant at Detroit Dragway.
I'm in Katy, TX. I can tell you're in the south somewhere. Looks like a quality e bike! I'm an e-boarder but I need a good e bike for my lady to tag along with.
300 lbs! NO, that's not a lot for an E-bike. A lot of a older cheap Schwinn bike. But now I expect 400lbs+ carry capacity on a E-bike. But this is only $700 and impressive specs for that price. This would be perfect if it had "Mag" or solid spoke wheels. But it looks good on this video for price.
