Remo Con extended mixes always just.....extend what's already there. They never seem to add anything new, just adding a few measures and a bit of repetition, and boom. I mean, more Matt Silver is never a bad thing but man I wish this didn't feel so lazy.
imo that's a huge strength most of the time - his stuff works best when the elements have time to breathe and evolve and the 2 minute iidx limit makes the arrangement a lot more hectic than usual.
It's in the name "Extended Mix" Otherwise you'd see stuff like Full Version or Original Size. The entire song is based off a prototype test tune he uploaded years back using a synthesizer, so of course it's gonna be simple; that's the beauty of it :b
it really depends per artist. i like these kinds of extended mixes for remocon songs, but not really for ryu songs for example. if u like artists who add new things in the extended mixes, u might like dj taka and blacky
kinda depends on the artist intention/perspective of an extended mix. As a DJ, this is what I usually come across when getting an extended mix, it just adds some bars with 1 or 2 percusive elements to it at the end. Makes it easier to mix with a different song
i didn't like this song at first when it came out, but it's really grown on me after having listened to it again a few times. feels like techno/hard dance songs take some time to love, but they really are bangers
Heard the short edit first. I fell in love with the song once I heard the full version.
