Nocterra is such a damn good book. I've been pitching it to friends that enjoy movies but not comics as a John Carpenter penned script directed by George Miller.

Nocterra is really good. Was picking up the single issues then saw a graphic novel release of it recently that was inexpensive that I wanted.
Also enjoyed Vinyl from Image Comics, Nomen Omen, Die! Die! Die! and Fight Girls by Cho. I'll go back to the Spawn series, more recent additions of it, some of the Dynamite leads or strange crossovers they do with Horror Icons or elements of it. Hack/Slash did quite a few crossovers when I was collecting the omnibus editions. Great series. And Lady Death I'll pick up, though those don't always come out regularly, but I've been lucky to catch issues available in my local comic shop rather than join a kickstarter for it.
I still want to get the volume 8 eBook of Saiko Takaki's Vampire Hunter D series--the only English version of it available is through that format or pick up a German language copy which is all I found. I've been hit or miss on manga for horror with the exception of Chainsaw Man being one of the best purchases and series I got this year. Also throw in Fist of the North Star and anything Junji Ito being immediate purchases this year. I got more than enough to read not included here. Never without a good book.

Double Walker is currently digital only on Comixology (on sale for a dollar! A steal) written by Michael Conrad, art by Noah Bailey, and letters by Taylor Esposito. It's like a scary fairy tale. Mixed with Scottish folklore, it's been the perfect spooky book to read this Halloween for me. (It should be available physically later on)

@@NearMintCondition I haven't read through the whole thing yet, but the beauty of that series if you can pick it up and read any issue for a good stand alone story. I haven't even used a bookmark, I just open it up and look for the nearest beginning of an issue and dig in. I absolutely agree with Nocterra. Got the trade and I couldn’t put it down. Always been a Snyder fan, but the worldbuilding is really interesting.
I liked Stray Dogs, but what kind of killed it for me was a major plot hole that happened as a result of events in issue 4. No spoilers, but that hole was just too big to ignore for me. Great artwork though!

Nice list, Omar. I got a couple of nice recommendations that I'll definitely look into.
Also, I REALLY wanted to thank you for being so thorough with your warnings and disclaimers! Specifically, the heads up about animal abuse in Stray Dogs. As an animal rights activist, I would have been very upset if I brought that book home and read that. Lol. I'm not one of the weirdos who will chain myself to a tree outside Image's office in protest. I realize that it's just a book, and I have zero problem with anyone else enjoying it. But it's certainly not something I would want to see, so again, thanks very much for your consideration.
