REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Podar World School Vapi celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event began with a solemn reminder of the significance of this day, marking the adoption of the Indian Constitution and celebrating India as a democratic republic. The school was privileged to host Commandant Umesh K. Iyer, presently commanding the premier Dornier Surveillance Squadron of the Indian Coast Guard based at Daman, namely 750 Squadron, as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Mr. Mitendra Gohil, Uttam Navik RO Communicator of the Indian Coast Guard, who also graced the occasion with his presence.
The chief guest unfurled the National Flag, and the school reverberated with the voices of students singing the National Anthem with pride and reverence.
To mark the auspiciousness of the day, the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp took place,accompanied by a soulful performance by the school choir group, which captivated the audience. A special prayer was delivered by Riya Dwivedi of Grade 9, emphasizing the importance of peace and harmony. The welcome speeches were delivered by Mst. Reyansh Ranavat and Ms. Namrata Jena. This was followed by a welcome song performed by students of Grades 6 to 8, which added a melodious touch to the event.
Mst. Pratham Limbachiya and Harshit Gunturu delivered passionate patriotic speeches igniting a sense of nationalism among the audience.
The highlight of the program was a musical skit performed by students of Grade 9, titled Swarnim Bharat: Virasat and Vikas, depicting India’s rich heritage and progressive strides. The performance was met with thunderous applause for its creativity and message.
The event also featured a spectacular display of tableaus by different grades, showcasing the cultural diversity and heritage of various states. Each tableau highlighted the uniqueness of the state, from cultural dances to traditional attire and was a visual treat for the audience.
The chief guest, Commandant Umesh K. Iyer, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the role of discipline, integrity, and dedication in building a strong nation. His words inspired the students to aspire for excellence and contribute positively to society.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mst.Pratyush Patra, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, staff, and students for their contributions in making the event a grand success.
The Republic Day celebrations at Podar World School, Vapi, was a reminder of the values enshrined in our Constitution and the responsibility of every citizen towards the nation.
