When my sons where younger we read the 1st two books together -- (bed time) -- I think it would be a great way to share them with your son. I was a movie first fan and the books make the movies even better.

I have just stumbled upon your channel. Just like you I'm a movie fan.. I've watched the movies a zillion times since I was a kid in the early 2000s, sometimes I would play them in the background like people would with music 😂 I tried to read the books but it was sooo hard to keep my mind focus and not to compare it with the scenes in the movies. The Jim Kay's illustration books were the antidotes the illustrations reset the images from the movies and I am able to read the books now, waiting for the rest of the Illustrated editions to come out.
I absolutely love the movies and each time I watch them it makes me feel like a kid. The illustrated versions of the books are great. It's a shame that the final ones won't be done by Jim Kay. Thanks for watching.

Going through your videos and seeing some awesome stuff and making a kind of wishlist lol. I made my own wands which was really cool too..
It's never too late to start collecting. A friendly piece of advice. Having a list is great, but it will always grow and change as you find new things, but set a price for yourself on each item so you know what your limit is and then don't exceed it. Start with the things that are available in store and online because they will cost you the least. Create wishlists on eBay and Mercari for discontinued stuff. These are just a few tips I can give you. Buckle up, my friend, because it's a fun, but crazy ride. Enjoy. Thanks for watching.

Currently making my shopping list for my friend to pick up for me when she goes in December. Had to postpone our trip for my husband to have knee surgery. Thanks for the video!
I'm sorry you had to postpone your trip, but you definitely want two working knees when you go due to all the walking. It will be completely worth the wait when you finally go.
I also have quite a few of the items you purchased. I just hung the sword on my wall about a month ago. You should check out the Bradford Exchange. I purchased the levitating golden snitch and the lifesize Dobby from there. The levitating snitch is one of my favorite items in my collection.
Thanks for the suggestion. The Bradford Exchange definitely has some great stuff. I have a decent sized wish list of their HP products. The levitating snitch is definitely on there.
As to reading the Harry Potter books, you can download the audio books with Jim Dale as narrator and listen to it. I have read the books and borrowed the audio books from the library and both I recommend.

Love the books, but I don’t judge for not reading. I’m a reading teacher though. Jim Dale is a great voice actor and he reads the books. Listen to them on audible if you can. Great idea for car rides.
Its not that I don't enjoy reading it's just time. I've started the Jim Dale audio books, but I work from home and the kids are on summer break so I'm barely driving 5 minutes a day. I will finish them this year because I want all the extra details that the movies left out. Thanks for watching.

On the cup, I agree. Plastic is wrong, metal and crystal and really Roddy and I own many pewter goblets and stainless steel so it'd be affordable and worth it. Also I agree on not wanting too many things looking similar so good call on a different pin than the shirt. Welcome to the channel. I'm not sure why, but the Tri-wizard cup is the one item that no one has done good in making an accurate replica. As for houses, if I were to change, it would be for Slytherin, but I feel that Gryffindor is a more accurate fit for me. And I bring the fun with me wherever I go. Thanks for watching.
