Sir , f(x) = square root of x. in this one element has two images. for example if i take x =4 then it has 2 images one is +2 and second is -2 . which does not satisfy the function property.Why?
And thats why the function of x defined by square root of x has only and only the positive values, that is, the function defined by square root of x has only one value at 4, that being +2, NOT -2. Sqaure root of a random number by itself can give you + and - 2 but in those cases, its not being treated as a function.
Beacuse one element of a set can have only one image with other element of another set.
