That sound of the crowd at 11:54 they were licking their chops at the violence being displayed in front of them. That fight was lit. Khan got pummeled but he took some monster punches and still wanted to go to war. That was always his downfall, but I always respect Khans heart.

Khan gets so much hate. The second he got rocked it was clear he should have adjusted his gameplan and moved around more but he chose to go toe to toe with a massive puncher.
Most fighters would start excessively clinching or running around the ring but Khan always knew what the fans wanted. It sucks how much disrespect he gets from the same people who he risked his own life to entertain.

Khan's weaknessess on full display here. Reckless offense, horrible sense of defense, and when he does get rocked, he tries to fight rather than just survive and get through it. Khan was so fast that he fell in love with his speed, but timing beats speed. Garcia timed him perfectly.

@@pretorious700 Danny knocking him out was a shock cause he was wasn't really known to have any special attributes. Just good basic boxing style and enough pop to keep guys honest but he was the underdog in this one for sure. Khan was on a tear with roach, although he came off a tough fight with Peterson.

@pretorious700 im assuming you were too young to remember. Khan was on a tear since joining the roach camp with Alex Ariza as his conditioning coach. The whole team at the time seemed unbeatable. So much so that ppl speculated Roach was giving Pacquiao and the others PEDs. Danny was a huge underdog. No one expected him to even be competitive.

Khan fought so bravely in the 4th round after suffering that knockdown which clearly rocked him in the 3rd. Gotta give him credit for fighting when he knows he's on shaky legs.
Always liked Khan's sharp punching and accurate punching. He withstood some good shots....but couldn't withstand Danny's power.

I might have got some details wrong but 100% Khan's legacy is tainted forever

I'm not a fan of referees stopping fights when a man is on his feet, i know why they do it however unless the fighter is stumbling all over the place i think that choice should be left to his corner. I'm talking in general rather than this particular stoppage and I understand that i will be regarded as being neaderthal but i think that society has become too risk adverse , they are prize fighters and it should come with significant risk. I know some will say that is the reason they are more cautious because of the risk however they chose that profession and at the top level they are very well rewarded and that's why i don't think that referees should be able to stop a fight if the boxer and his corner think he is fit to continue.
I totally understand what you mean, but in some cases, the fighters do need to be saved from themselves or their corner.

With his hand and foot speed. He would have box circles around a lot of 99% of the fighters. Just someone says something about his chin. They are heavy in that gym of building neck and upper back strength to help absorb punches.
