Pig is really an amazing commentator. Super technical and yet entertaining. I love to hear explanations as to why this is a good counter to that, what the players are known for etc.
I think the best "technical" caster is Hasterm due to him being such a high level player, but Pig is more fun.
@@lorenzogazzola328 Harstem know more, but PiG transfer the knowledge to audience much better imo, most of us dont really care about the detail, like the 40th worker at 6th minute building the 4th CC or something like that. We want to know if which side is more advantage and why , and what the other side should/could do to catch up, ect.
Although the 125th 'spready' gets annoying.

Reynor vs. Maru is slowly becoming the best rivalry in SC2, each time these 2 meet, they gave us banger series, close result and long game with lots of action. People should just let Serral vs Maru go at this point, yeah they will play against each other a couple time, but its not the same level of performance like we are watching here.
+tigera6 How could Maru vs Serral be a lower level of performance? That doesn't make any sense, maybe just flashier vs reynor
@@eyeofhorus1301 Not lower level, but less entertaining. The last couple years Serral vs Maru has been either one sided (3-0) or get into the same slow-down late game kind tug-of-war. But Reynor vs Maru has been much higher pace, with lots of exciting moment and result, and they are ALWAYS close with lots of 3-2, 2-1, 4-3 score between the 2 of them.
Just from pure entertainment value, I would pick Maru vs Reynor.
The you tube algorithm served me up this amazing series from a year ago, missed it then glad i got to see it now.

Wow, indeed a top series for the year, if not THE top series. Both sides played so incredibly well. Maru really showed why he's the #1 Terran for the last few years. Other Terrans would've broken down at half the game length. It's also interesting how many marauders he produced at relatively early time points too. Clem almost only produces marines. Maru used to be mostly marines too. Maybe he's testing new army composition? This is a more durable army and deals with banes better, reduces micro requirement a little. But it did lose the fire power and made battles more drawn out. Combining with WMs this might offer some advantage as more effective WM shots and friendly fire damage is less bad. Interesting.

GSL 2022 in the round of 10 Dark got a Nydus off in Maru's base at the 9 min mark of the second round. Against all odds Maru fights back in probably the greatest display of skill that i've ever seen.
I have to stop at 37:00 and take a break from this video... it's so intense!!
In G1 Pig goes on about how Maru is ahead in resources while resource tab showing Reynor equal in minerals but miles ahead in gas lol. Mistakes aside you're still the best Pig!
Well that was incredibly stupid to watch. I want at least 3 more of this caliber. The grit both players show is incredible (I think i have to give favour to maru considering how behind he got early)

That zerg player was one of the best of all time, and didn't win
They are OP. Even Serral said so awhile ago and he's arguably the best Zerg player and one of the best overall. Which is a testament to how good Maru is.

for some reason Maru almost never builds enough turrets against muta...in game 3 he made more than in game 1 which made a difference.

I don't understand why the matchs end before there bases are destroyed. Can some explain why this is please. I'm new to starcraft and even newer to watching professionals. Please explain.
Because these guys are so good that once they lose a massive army battle mid map the game is essentially over so they just resign to save time

After so many years of watching/playing SC2 I still do not understand why it would be so bad just adding 2+ turrets per minaral line vs. mutas.

Another series showing very strong play, and play with mistakes, balanced by the difference in race strengths. Sc2 might be one of the more incredible games I've seen, but my the balance has issues.

game three, wow what a finish.....seriously
game one maru should have just spent minerals on turrets on all four bases, and should have made planetaries instead of orbitals, and then make a few ravens for detection instead of relying on scans. the mutalisk reaally messed up his economy. leaving a thor in the bases would protect the mineral lines better than a turret and he should also have built ghosts for the late game. maru lost that macro on game 1.
game two, what do you learn? the high ground is key for map control and hello, build detection earlier next time. Also always protect your production buildings. and another thing I learned about watching all these pro matches is that it is ok to go bio and mech. beastyqtsc2 was always saying you can't go both but... those videos were posted two years ago. and clumping your army is bad, you always want to have it spread out.

When you change scenery with the camera, and you return to the same area of the map a short time later, it happens that we don't know how something you were commenting ends (because you go to another area), and it almost makes us dizzy because we don't have time to get an idea of where you've gone and have to look at the minimap... I don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly, but if you improve that, it would be great, otherwise, it's very difficult to have fun with what you're commenting. I don't want to bother you with my comment, I'm just trying to get you to think if it's possible to make that change. If you see that it's not possible, that's fine, but I think that if you make that change, you would gain something for the rest of us to see your videos in a more pleasant way. Cuando cambias de escenario con la cámara, y vuelves al poco tiempo a la misma zona del mapa, ocurre que no nos enteramos de cómo termina algo que estabas comentando (porque te vas a otra zona), y provoca casi mareo porque no da tiempo a hacerse a la idea de dónde te has ido y tener que mirar el minimapa... no sé si me explico correctamente, pero si mejoras eso, estaría muy bien, de lo contrario, se hace muy cuesta arriba divertirse con lo que estás comentando. No quiero molestarte con mi comentario, sólo intento que pienses si es posible hacer ese cambio. Si ves que no es posible, pues no pasa nada, pero creo que si haces ese cambio, ganarías algo para que los demás veamos tus vídeos de una forma más agradable. Gracias y saludos desde España :)

i dont care who is the gsl or wcs champion. but watching muta plays makes me angry. zerg is distracting all game long while taking 20 bases and drone up to turtle with mass ling bane thats so stupid imo. that shows how much blizzard cares on the casual and pro players. ah and dont forget the creep reaching the front of the terran at 7 minutes which gives him 90 % of mapcontrol. very balanced race. against protoss banelings oneshot probes so let the protoss attack you on 2 angles ? fk yeah just roll 4 banelings in to delete 20 probes. seems all so fkn nice.

@@OnigoroshiZero that goes toe to toe with overpowered Zerg where Zerg players dominate. Not that they're not good players but they're playing a broken race which even Serral attested to. Also one poor showing in a tournament among an otherwise solid career doesn't say shit.
@@OnigoroshiZero he did dumb thing and get punished, it happens. Even the great Serral get drop out of top 4 in Europe this season, and Rogue just get eliminated in the Ro20, so shit happens.
