Honestly, if they replaced Archaon's dumb "bad guy" growl that they give to every character that's not part of the Ordertide and got James Earl Jones to voice him instead, he'd instantly become 10 times better. He'd still suck in campaign, but at least he'd actually sound like a badass Everchosen.
I thought Archaeon was meant to be part of the faction "Chaos undivided" as in warhammer 40k, meaning he is part of chaos but he doesn't bow to them, that is why he doesn't get gifts from them. That is why, in the original chaos invasion he was accompanied by four armies representing the 4 gods champions, Suneater: Khorne, Sigvald:Slanesh, the giant blue bird: Tweech and a generic chaos lord: Nurgle.
Meanwhile, all the "good" factions are either declaring war on me, taking over the world, are dicks during diplomacy, and are mostly incompetent in battle/world map (if they even help out at all). I think the roles got reversed somewhere

Except Wh3 is a prequel of Wh1 So until the new mortal empires gets implemented Daniel and all other daemons have been vanquished and it falls to Archaon to fuck shit up.
I feel Archaon is too Mary Sue to be a good character, thought it's not his fault that bad writing gives dev little interest to make him a good faction without being absolutely cheating op. Last character reached this level of OP I remember is the Me'dan from WoW, who is so bad written so he got erased from canon.
danny still loses to archaon in a 1v1 fight though. the godslayer aint nothing against the kingslayer. Archaon's got better stats. Even against a decked out danny
All I'll say is, The Daemon Prince was tricked into going to kill the God-Bear by Belakor and he never actually faught a god, he just shot a single bullet at one that was weakened and chained up. That title is unearned. Edit: also he didn't even kill him
God the Daniel is just a mess like whenever you fight against him his army just falls to pieces slanessh? Moves too quick and easy to cut off from the rest of the army where they get focused down by ranged units. tzzenitch? almost always the direct fire type are in the field so once the melee is engaged they have to circle around to try and hit your flanks while your archers are firing on them. nurgle? Too slow by the time they arrive most of the rest of the army is dead this can be made worse by carvery cycle charging. khorne? Usually get outnumbered which causes morale collapse and grinds them down. Seriously all demon units are built to follow their strategy with maximum amount of units possible any mucking about outside of their specialities causes more issues than helps.
What is Archaon tho, a generic a.i extra character?
