Back in our Salvation Army days my wife and I had the great privilege of hosting Norman in our home when the International Staff Songsters came to Halifax Citadel UK Corps. It was such a joy to get to know him and appreciate his wonderful sense of humour. During the weekend it was great to be a member of Halifax Band when Norman conducted us in his march Land of Song. No doubt he is now rejoicing in his eternal home and maybe directing the angelic choir!
This guy was awesome. He was the most natural and friendly person. I was at Westminster Central Hall for an army function and happened to meet him outside. As far as I knew he didn't know me but greeted me like a long lost son. RIP and rise in glory!
