  • In October 2023, Kelvin Kiptum ran the fastest marathon ever recorded, winning the Chicago Marathon by more than three minutes and becoming the first man to finish under the 2:01 mark for the first time in an official competition. Between Kiptum and Eliud Kipchoge, the two-hour marathon has never seemed more real than it does right now--but what's it going to take to make up those remaining 35 seconds?
