Hi Glenn! My mate had a Leonis and it was a brilliant car for both racing and as a rather expensive basher! With those blingy hopups they really do pop! Beautiful rc car impo mate! Glenn this channel just keeps getting better and stronger and more popular with time! Tamiya Corp. DEFINITELY need to sponsor you/your channel in some way because you are doing so so much to promote their brand/product’s impo mate! It’s a no-brainer for me Glenn! 💯👍 Wes, Liverpool UK
See mate that didn't take too long lol Great vid thanks for the walkthrough amazing amount of hop ups definitely looking forward to this build/run cheers .
You're looking a bit red there mate, not enough fibre in your diet? Maybe some prune juice will help? Sorry, had to! 🤣 Awesome buggy, that's gonna be pretty flash when it's done! You got a load of nice looking bits there for it too. 👌👍
Beautiful car the Leonis. I have a strong connection to this car with a friend who is now passed away. I'm really looking forward to seeing your car complete
Got to be honest Glenn these type of cars don't turn me on like the good old school plasticky basic tamiyas! but yeah l totally respect these high performance modern ish tamiyas!👍 The most modern tamiya l have had is the Dark impact and l enjoyed it but it just didn't float my boat like a cheap old classic from the past! But respect mate these are awesome buggies you are talking about on this vid and l love your enthusiasm for the tamiya time line its a special thing! I totally dig why you have been after this buggy too its rare one because tamiya pulled the plug and that bizarrely makes it very special! Great vid buddy.😉👍
Another day at cool for me. Thanks for the lesson Glen. 👍🏼. ( I wrote this just before the video ended then you said, I hope you learned something 😂 I did 👊🏼)
Brilliant, Brilliant video!!!! Actually, I DID learn something from this video 😉👍. Very fascinating and highly entertaining. Great content and really well presented. Can't wait to see the finished build. 🚗 💨
Awesome kit Glenn, that's going to be a great build (i looked for this kit after watching your first vid on it, no luck). Awesome job, can't wait for the build!!!
Very nice DB02! Looking forward to the build. Ive only just got back in to the hobby after 30 years away and foolishly decided on buying a DB01. I thought hop ups would still be readily available for it since the car itself is still regularly stocked on local retail shelves here. Little did I know what i was in for... after a LOT of hunting i'm now at the point where I have every hop up available for it, except that damn slipper clutch (single or double). The only new ones i've seen for sale are people scalping them for $300+ which I refuse to pay. DB02 hop-ups seem to still be readily available where i've been looking, I guess since the car itself is so rare compared to the DB01 there's a lot less people hunting for hop-ups.
Great video! Love the look of this thing and to be honest, love the body more than a Durga😱. Now I need one😔. I mean I've just got a DB01 with a mountain of hop ups, thanks to you😌. Now where am I going to find one of these😳. Anyway, loved the video and am seriously looking forward to the build. Keep up the great work 👊
Looking forward to seeing you get this one done Glen.. I really like this one from the modern day stuff.. I just know you are going to do a top job with it.. And make sure you keep the bloody thing this time👍🤣🤣
Excellent video👍 by the looks of it you've bought the buggy in upgrades all over again!, This is a buggy which I don't know a lot about so its going to be interesting watching this👏
Wow, another superb buggy that Tamiya produced for too short a time period. I would love to see them re-release stuff like the DB-01, DB-02 and the Zahhak, they were excellent buggies, aimed more at the 'club' racer but fully upgradeable anyway. The biggest issue with these sort of buggies that Tamiya produced was the price, compared with the likes of Losi, Associated, Schumacher etc they just couldn't compete, those companies produced excellent products for less money, and more often than not they were far better on the track. Saying that, I had a TA-05 IFS years ago, and even in standard form it was absolutely superb, it was just as good as Mission's etc. OK, it cost almost as much and was more 'plasticky', but it was still bloody good. Awesome video as always, can't wait to see it built!!
Lucky man. I've never even seen one for sale. Looking forward to the build. I am a big fan of the Durga and have been close to buying one for ages, but now the Super Avante is coming, I'm holding out to see if it might be a better option than the DB-01. I can't really justify one of each. I've been following Duncan's DB-01 build on facebook. What a beast.
Remember the first vid, so looking forward to seeing this built and running. Curious to see how it differs on performance and handling. Are you going box art? I really like that schema...
I had a DB01R that I raced in 17.5 class, was nice but heavy. Then this happened... I'd be interested to see how that cluster of bevel gears on the back of the spur gear shaft go together as you build it. After the Juggernaut debacle, I was never wanting to touch it.
I always wanted one but strangely the Durga is my dream car. Sadly I have neither 😥😥😥😥 Ever consider the Zahhak Glen? I know it's an acquired taste but I think it's a thing of beauty!
Very cool and interesting car, I think tamiya should have improved on this chassis, if you look now at most other branded buggies they are shaft driven.
@@TAMIYALegends my first real rc was a lunchbox 31 years ago. It did very well and was really fun tho. My friend got a blackfoot that wouldnt hold up. The stampede was much better.
Can’t wait for this one, a car I knew fairly little about. There’s nothing like a new build with a bag full of hop ups !!
Haha thanks Rob 🤩👊🏻
Can’t go wrong with Blue Tamiya bling, somewhat doing the same with my TL01B
