Very cool. Makes it look so easy haha. Something I need to eventually do to my IV because I do SoloII and some track and the AYC is for sure going to fail eventually. Nice to see a video of what's up for the future for me.

pros - less maintenance, diffs easily replaced. also more driver interaction (teaches you how to drive, whereas otherwise computer does it all for you) and also lets you get sideways if you want. Also lighter setup. cons - until you know how to drive its dangerous, otherwise not too many downsides to it

You will need the diff, driveshafts and replacement moustache bars. Look up the user "ross sport" on ebay. They usually have rs kits for sale and list all parts supplied

i wish u guys were here in miami florida, i'm the only one with an EVO IV & no one will touch my car.

In the US they never got the earlier models, so thats why they most likely dont want to touch it. Its unusual they dont touch it because the AYC system is a lot simpler, should be easier to work with!

Did you had to shorten the tail shaft to install the kit? I don't find too much info but seems for 4/5/6 it is needed.

Nope. Stock tailshaft. The evo RS has a slightly different tailshaft which is advisable but I have had no issues in mine with subtle power, 280kw atw. Most people in Australia who have a CP and gone rs diff haven't chnaged tailshaft.

Can you list all the parts needed to do this swap. I just broke my second 5 ayc diff. My car has a 2.3L stroker and I use the stock turbo+exedy twin disc = too much torque. I have the lsd diff only what else is needed?

also when you get higher hp the stock evo 5 diffs have issues.

What did you have to do to delete the AYC system. I have a Evo 4 GSR with a no mileage rebuilt forged Evo 6 RS engine; with Evo 6 RS transmission, transfer case. The rear diff is a Evo 6 GSR and i just a Evo 4 RS rear diff.
Is the Evo 4 RS rear diff the same gear ratio as the Evo 6 RS?
How do i delete or turn off the AYC and the pump?

I m sorry fot my lack of knowledge but
If u switch over to rs does that mean u have to give up ur awd system??

the car will still be and, however when driving the car is more controllable as there is no computer trying to vary the power to each side. it is a set amount of power transfer.

    what about the ABS lol

What about it? It uses a sensor that reads the end of the drives haft so nothing is changed with that system...abs works without ayc plugged in
