Can Justification by Faith Alone be accepted by Orthodox Christians?

Purgatory is understood differently by Evangelicals and Orthodox. For Evangelicals, the Catholic insistence on ‘temporal punishments’ even though God forgives us causes despair, but Orthodox do not know about the existence of ‘temporal punishments’. Hence Evangelicals insist on ‘faith alone’ to clarify God’s love, but Orthodox continue with the biblical approach of seeking glorification which is misunderstood by Evangelicals. Yet when Orthodox spirituality does speak of curing despair, it can sound very similar to Evangelicalism.
