- Buffalo hunting in the mountain forests of northern Tanzania: Here, the hunt for the Cape buffalo, the most sought-after African game species for many hunters, is not a simple hunt for the longed-for trophy, but a real challenge of personal limits.
I find the contrast between the dry plains of Masailand and the cold and wet forests of Losimingor to be enchanting. The average person would never think of these two starkly different habitats as being nestled right next to each other. Beautiful film. I hope another can be made.

Some years ago I had the opportunity to experience exactly this Buffalo hunt. It is exactly as in the video. Long days , lots of walking. One must be fit and healthy to keep up with the trackers. Some of these have been with us during the hunt. This is a real demanding hunt and no tourist shooting like in many other African countries. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊🇩🇪

what caliber rifle
Big ones! 375 H&H has been the minimum for the Big 5, and other dangerous game. Just what I’ve heard and read since I was a kid. .458 Lott was the first one mentioned. 404 Jeffery’s .416 Rigby, 500 Nitro, 600 Nitro ect… if you want to see a lot of Big Bore rifles, look up Kentucky Ballistics, he has 375 H&H Magnum through a falling block 4 Bore! He even survived a .50 BMG blowing up in his face, if you can stand watching a normal guy shooting ballistic dummy’s, he just did one with Grizzly bear heads! Just thought I’d share that with you.

People that shoot that bad shouldn’t be allowed to hunt. I seen 70 year old women shoot better at a further distance. No excuse
