Dudes! I forgot about this album for over 30 years! I just found it again by total fluke. Shit my fking pants! The opening instrumental took me all the way back. The title track brought tears to my eyes. The person who I used to rock out to this album with died decades ago. Ernie, this ones for you Bro. I miss you! I`m off to go order this album. Peace and love my fellow metal heads!

Man, just imagine the mosh pits in a razor concert.
it was pretty intense. i wasn't in it but i was looking from on top and man that pit looked like a slayer pit. there was red lights and the pit was fucking cool and awesome. sucks that i was sick i couldn't get in the pit because i ran out of air so easily. but i was watching on the second floor and wow dude. that pit looked Brutal. the drunk people made the pit really violent. the festival started really early but that was a bad thing because that means more drunk people drink early. but all the other bands on the list were really really good they were all perfect and Just good music. the two main headliners were exciter and Razor and i think razor stole the show. but the pit was full of fights and that wasn't really fun. Also because of people fighting in the pit for razor all i think of is people fighting each other. maybe some day when i go boxing i should play razor in the background. Razor is Fight music lol. Also one more last thing that was cool ass fuck is that i got a sodom obsessed by cruelty shirt for just 15$ there and no tax and man that was so cool and awesome. i suggest going to festivals and such they're worth it.

To this day after almost 40 years it still excites me like the 1 time I listened to it, in my opinion one of the first albums of pure speed / Thrash metal 🤘

Sure not! The first releases have speed metal into it, but it's much more thrash. And albums like "Violent Restitution" or "Shotgun Justice" are pure thrash metal! Listen to Agent Steele or Exciter (that i love too), that is speed metal. Razor sound much more like "Exodus" or "Dark Angel"

I remember taking the vinal version out from the library in the early 90's....of course I rigged the output on my record player into a ghetto blaster to record it on cassette. Good thing I did...never could find this title in the music stores, so it brought me many years of Razor happiness!! Funny I'd find it in a public library of all places.

First Track: All is quiet and then that dreadful sound. You thought you escaped him but the roar of the motorcycle creeps nearer and nearer. Finally he appears, the bloodlust is high and you have only alleys to escape to. You run through the maze as the drone of his bike follows not far behind like the shadows it creates.
I can see that, would be a sweet anime scene in the style of old school like Violence Jack or Cyber City...

It was called the buzzsaw riff when this album was released so pardon me for calling it what it was at the time in all the metal reviews, in the ballet magazines it may have been called tremelo picking but thankfully I wasnt reading those publications.

well imho what you call thrash (or a mix of thrash & hardcore) i call it as 'speed-metal' and what you call speed-metal I call it as 'NWOHM' . that is what works for me; well, imho true plane thrash is what you might call as '1st weave of black metal'. for example what you all call 'thrash' about that 80-90s BayArea's, well i call that as 2nd weave of speed-metal
I've never heard anyone say "NWOHM". There is no such thing as "second wave of speed metal". Like it or not, speed metal, thrash, etc. are all backed by a general consensus. There's no point in you making up your own terms because the point of language is to communicate. You're not communicating with anyone when you create neologisms.

Best band of all time
I do enjoy them so far, but best band goes to The Warning, in my opinion, anyway...
The Warning. Three teenage girls from Mexico, sisters. Their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene, is a concept album, which is best listened to live because of the energy of their performance with an audience. The following links are from their concert at Foro Didi in what I consider their finest performance. Through technical difficulties, they push on giving professionals a lesson to aspire to. One particular technical issue caused a version of the second track I find more immersive than it ever was before. A failure with an acoustic guitar grants the song a whole other dimension I feel contains depth already there but certainly stronger.
