i think if it helps at all i believe even big youtubers like lavendertowne who do speedpaints cut out awkward pauses, its natural to have them. Also if you need to fill more time and dont know what to say, just give a reason to what youre doing in your art! I present a LOT for my graphic design course and I always try to just give as many “whys” as can fill my time. think of like "I made the colors warmer" why? "I thought it matched her personality better because she is the princess of friendship" and dont be worried that youre talking too much or anything, people click on the video because they want to see you talk haha. hope this helps with the awkwardness at all!
