As a former server for a decade, I GUARANTEE they left the server nothing. I worked at a hibachi steak and seafood joint, and they were always coming in starting some mess. I would be so happy when I would get a table of black folks who treated me well, even if they didn't tip. As long as they treated me like a human being, I was grateful enough for that.

When I bussed tables 50 years ago, blacks would come in with their entire family tree and loud obnoxious kids, complain for two hours, eat the entire meal, stiff the help on the tip then complain to management to wrangle free meals. Happened every time.

Whenever a black family walked in , every server in the building would disappear and pretend to be too busy to pick up that table or whoever got stuck with the tables would pay someone else $20 to take it . They not only act stupid, but they'll complain the whole time, they'll eat the entire meal , then complain that it was cold , the whole restaurant could hear them, ask for their checks and leave. Then, after giving them 5 star service, they don't tip .

I don't agree with the use of that word, but it seems like a fitting phrase. I'm white. Maybe 15 years ago, our extended family went to a restaurant for Thanksgiving. Some of us got a meal with salad bar (including chicken wings), some of us didn't. Relative who didn't get salad bar kept taking chicken wings, including for her children. "Go up and get some more chicken wings." Move up 7 years ago, after my dad died. They took us to Olive Garden, which had an "all you can eat salad OR soup" offer. I got the soup. They kept saying "take some salad, it's free." The menu said it's soup OR salad. It's just not that way. If you get "all you can eat," that's for you, not for others. The relative in question had enough money to pay, but she's a cheapskate. If you can't afford a good restaurant meal, don't go to the restaurant. It's that simple.
