- Lake D'Arbonne is being very tough. the cut weight is the lowest I have ever seen it. Everyone is struggling to get a bite. The temps have been very low at night and it is really messing with the water temps. These Louisiana bass are just not used to it being this cold. I have to find a few areas with warm enough water and resident bass that are willing to bite to have a chance to advance on to the knockout round.

In the winter, I fish the deep holes, with a weighted Carolina rigged, big slow, minnow lure. Works every time ! They are on the bottom staying as warm as they can, and not moving except for an easy meal. If you read this, and catch a bunch, I would appreciate you getting up with me in P-ville.
