RTL stands for register transfer language. It's one of a number of languages used to design chips. The foundries take all of that code and use it to manufacture the chips.
what a wonderful video...:) i was wondering why factory electronics, as "rockwell eng." install panel-cabinet air-conditioners to keep their PLC modules and motor drives, etc. cool, when my car on a hot summer day runs great with the computer mounted beside the intense engine heat? It seems like automotive electronic design ideas could save a huge amount of un-needed energy by making more semiconductors that could operate at 100 degrees fahrenheit. The military electronic devices can handle a wide temperature range. Just do it. Thanks...:)
Sorry for this stupid question but, What is RTL? Thank you very much.

Additionally, here's more information if you need it semiengineering.com/knowledge_centers/eda-design/definitions/register-transfer-level/
