It's sad to me how that kind of reaction is realistic and common for a lot of people here. I'm not saying that because I condone toxic relationships, but because very few of us have any shred of forgiveness in ourselves. Yes, the latter two exes messed up the first time, but does that really mean we shouldn't give them a second chance, nor even talk to them again? I think what's important is that those two apologized and learned from their mistakes. If I was in the MC's shoes, forgiving those two exes would allow myself and them to move on from the tension.
