Xurome [Khurome] (хъуромэ) is an ancient pre-Christian festival that was transformed and adapted into Christmas when the Kabardians converted to Christianity in the Middle Ages.
The Orthodox Christian Kabardians of Mozdok (Kabarda Minor) still chant “Xurome” as a Christmas carol/prayer. They celebrate Christmas on the 7th of January every year.

Если бы русские вместо того, чтобы обращаться с черкесами как последние сволочи, вели себя достойно, дарили бы им подарки, и доказали, что они с черкесами братья по вере, то черкесы смогли бы вернуться в христианство. То же самое произошло с последними православными вайнахами. Не умеют русские дружить с христианами кавказцами, просто не умеют. Из за них христианство полностью утратило силу на Кавказе. Порой кажется, что русские это антивизантийцы.

This has nothing to do with Christmas, those melodies are festivity melodies, and were played and danced at Harvesting seasons, which is in summer
Circassians are Muslims, and has nothing to do with Christianity

По черкесски черкесская национальная одежда(мужская) называется - Цей.

Very nice! I really like that region's musical traditions. All of the tribes of the Caucasus region have an amazing history and traditions. Too bad their languages are virtually un-learnable by non-native speakers. Being able to understand something of what is being said and sung would increase outsiders appreciation of their lyrics and musical poetry.

Они были язычниками, потом стали мусульманами, и никогда не были христианами, и очень малое христианское меньшинство, не превышающее 2%, не позволяет нам делать обобщения, что черкесы были христианами, а если они были таковыми, то где являются ли сотни или даже тысячи церквей, которые должны были оставаться свидетелями своего христианства?

Now they are , but earlier they were majority Orthodox Christians , some still remail so , an some are even pagan.
