Such a great design, I love Carl’s creativity, even makes his own draw rollers for his draws, such a quintessential tradesman, I really appreciate your approach to solving problems.
Carl, thank you sir for the best design in mobility for our power tools. This is better than any store bought design I've seen. This is design is appreciated immensely. Again Thank You
I just saw your youtube channel for the first time today while looking for a mobile base system for my table saw. Your design is excellent and I am looking forward to building one like it. Thank you for sharing and teaching us.
I watched your video a few times and went out to my shop and built this castor system for my old craftsman table saw. It works like better than the factory wheels that were falling apart. I need to work on the lock and after watching this again I see where I can make improvements. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. I'm at the Temple right now watching on my phone, when I get home tomorrow I will order the plan on my Laptop. You must be a retired engineer. Simply brilliant!
Thanks for putting together the plans. I've been wanting to build this since I found your channel a year ago. This will save me lots of reverse engineering. Great channel, Carl.
I went thru the "reverse engineering" ordeal for my 1957 DeWalt Radial Arm Saw (before Carl offered his plans).. While my retractable caster set-up works, it's not as "smooth" as Carl's (in the video).. I went ahead and bought the plans and intend on remaking the platform "properly", this time ;-} And, I am going to make a retractable caster set-up, all in steel, for my five foot sheet-metal brake (all 600lbs of it!) Super Great Idea, Carl.. Well worth the cost of the plans!! Chas
Mr. Holmgren, could you do a video on the Bench Mortiser please? Specifically, what all you can do with it and what all functions it has. I really don't know that much about it and I would like it if you were to make a video on it.
Hi Carl, great retractable caster ideas. I didn't know you supplied plans until recently and have just ordered your Saw Table plans.Regards JD Downunder.
Thank you Jim. Assuming "Downunder" refers to Australia (& maybe NZ). After retirement, I did some instructing in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth interspersed with visits to Auckland, Sydney, Cairns and Uluru. Loved your countries. You have many talented and inspirational woodworkers. //Carl
I am trying to get the plans that you are talking about. I am very interested to purchase the set of plans. How to get accès to these plans?. Tks in advance
Hi Mr Holmgren, I purchased your plans about a year ago, but I am just getting around to making the Table Saw version. I have noticed a dimension discrepancy: tOn pg 2 of the drawings you show that the Castor Mounting Bds are a lamination of 1/4”+3/4”+3/4”= 1-3/4” total. But on the Cut List you show that the CMB’s are 1/4”+3/4”+1/4”=1 1/4” total. Can you please advise which thickness is correct? Thank you.
Very nice. Also noticed what appears to be a dust port and hose atop the blade guard. Please tell us something about that, and what model of table saw that is. Thanks again.
ruclips.net/video/zRbKKYCJwc0/видео.html This vid explains the blade guard dust port. The saw is an old, old Rockwell Delta 10" contractor's saw model number 32-540
Hello Carl how can I maximize the clearance of the jacked table saw and castor system? I need to roll down a 3 inch drop from my garage to my driveway. looks like I'll have to build a ramp. what do you think? great work. thanks for sharing.
Phillippe, The maximum lift with my caster system can be increased by using wider caster mounting boards and mounting the casters further from the hinges. You'd need stronger lever arms and much more down pressure to raise the tool. I think you could raise the tool as much as one inch - You'd still need a ramp of some kind. /////Carl

I really like the way you lifted the saw off the floor with the ladder. Great video!
I don't need the plans to build the casters, but I'm going to buy them anyway because you deserve the support for your good work, Carl!
Such a Gentleman, Carl! I guess that we all can see the pleasure you get by working with wood!
Thanks for sharing. I'm at the Temple right now watching on my phone, when I get home tomorrow I will order the plan on my Laptop. You must be a retired engineer. Simply brilliant!
