@@allensproule4662 True. Although it wouldn't be too nice of a casting director to allow a man to play it, since Joseph is a great part, not to mention Pharaoh, Potiphar and Jacob. The narrator was written as a woman to create a leading role for a woman in the show.
Even though I'm a female, me and my female friend are the only the people with different sex parts in a version of this we are in. I play Asha and my friend is playing Dan :D
This was the first musical I was ever in as a kid... and I remember every single color by heart. It's stored deep in my bones! haha

We did this as a class when I was 10, I played the Narrator :)
