    I like this “quiet” video; birds are the only voices and they’re very loud. Still the video is peaceful, interesting and informative. Visual and written instructions are all I need. I also have very small space to grow grapes; this video was good.

    Is that a container of water with a wicking cloth going down to the plant at 4:39? 5-gallons of water daily seems a lot of water. I think you aim to saturate the entire pot.

    Evenly, could you feature your potted raspberry plant in a new video? In this video you didn't show the pot. How many canes did you plant into the pot? I suppose all your pots are about 20-gallon?

    I've also got grapes growing in a big pot but mine haven't fruited in the the 2 years since I bought them sadly. Do you prune your grapes?

    • @ricardo1522
      @ricardo1522 Год назад

      Pruning helps but it should still produce fruit, try adding a mixture of organic and synthetic balanced liquid fertilizers, for example Epsoma Garden tone is organic, bury under some of the soil and water as usual, then feed with your liquid water soluble for example Miracle grow, Miracle gro also has organic water soluble. The Epsoma will break down slowly, make the soil more fertile and boost microbe activity, the water soluble feeds instanly so use less than directed.
      If your vine is growing vigorously or "too much" then use the Epsoma as normal but for your liquid use a "bloom booster" type that has less nitrogen, for example 0-5-5 or 2-10-10 etc, this will allow the vine to not use as much energy growing and more into development and fruiting. Jobes Fruit and Citrus is organic and has less nitrogen you could just use this only instead of combining, it just depends, too much growth= less energy for fruiting.
      When you are buying a vine or cutting in the future make sure its stated to be at LEAST a year old. There are lots of "how to prune, why to prune and when to prune" vids on YT check them out.

    • @iamchinny3
      @iamchinny3 Год назад

      @@ricardo1522 I appreciate this reply. I am so confused with all the information on pruning vines I'm certain I've got it wrong it the past. This year I haven't pruned at all this winter, the buds are just starting to break in the spring weather now. I'm going to fertilise and just see how it goes this summer...if still not fruiting I will just put it somewhere else as a foliage plant and put something else which will hopefully fruit in the pot. Fingers crossed...

    • @ricardo1522
      @ricardo1522 Год назад +2

      @@iamchinny3 pruning helps the plant to focus only on the vines remaining, its about energy conservation, plus when you have too much foliage you have less sun reaching all areas, if you already have bud break then its too late, it should be done while the plant is dormant. i know its confusing but trust me there is a video that will click for you because i didnt understand it at first either, same with strawberries i had to learn about them.

    • @EvelynPerfect
      @EvelynPerfect  Год назад +2

      @iamchinny3 Hi friend, I do pruning after the harvest every year and I leave those strong vines. The new vines growing in spring, first the flowers turn to fruit. In this time, I feed organic fertilisers you can see it here ruclips.net/video/ztanbNnw0ak/видео.html
      I don’t use any kind of industrial fertilisers or liquid because of a bad experienced. I let the plants grow naturally as they use to be in the nature. And now I’m excited to harvest grapes this year again. I will posting the update for sure. Thanks❤️
