When would you choose between HTAP(say TiDB or SingleStore) and LakeHouse (Say Hudi, Delta Lake etc)?

I might be wrong but as per my understanding Hudi does not have any server. So when you mentioned about background operations at 31:28, if you can explain when and how does background operations run.

@mhlaskar1991 the background operations run automatically with each write (inline) or can be scheduled as separate background jobs (async).
