Hi. I agree with all your statements bar the conclusion. Indeed since the IWC price is twice the Oris' it makes perfect sense that its quality or finishing is higher!
Great comparison with beautiful imagery of both. Thank you! It's hard to pick a winner, because while they are so similar they are also so different (and only watch geeks would get that haha)
Please tell me how the IWC has dust on the small seconds hand @ 6:10 ? I really hate Swiss watches that charge above $5k and can't even get the basics right!
It's been there for as long as I can remember. I dont know if it was there when I bought it, or if it happened sometime later. Anyway, the dealer promised to clean it up when I take it in for a service.
@@WatchFocus8800This shouldn’t pass a quality inspection “at that price”. Unfortunately 99% of the owners won’t look at it that closely and won’t care.
Depends on the models doesn't it ? Lexus is part of Toyota so easily comparable to Mercedes and very much more reliable, and Toyota otherwise makes all types of vehicles iincluding very high end models. And in contrast Mercedes makes quite low end cars in their A series. There was a time when Mercedes was producing rust buckets. IWC is a good watchmaker but hardly at a very very different level to Oris.
Oris all day long
IWC all the way any day

Hi, thank you for the comment. Price doesn't always run parallel with quality. But that's just my opinion.

@@RyanVoight thank you for the feedback. That's why it's best to have both.
Talk about David and Goliath battle. Good to see the plucky Oris stands on its own. I Agree the IWC blue dial is special.
Thank you for the feedback.

I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
For me the IWC format of the Day/Date complication puts it way ahead of the Oris.
It's a matter of personal preference. Some will put the Oris ahead because of that GMT complication.
This is like comparing Toyota to mercedes. Oris is a good manufacturer, but IWC is at a very very different level
@@bdegrds there's nothing wrong with comparing a Toyota to a Mercedes 😉
