At the end of the clone wars Ashoka was on trial for a murder she didn’t commit. She was framed by a fellow Padawan who she considered a close friend. While on trial the Jedi council kicked her out, lost her Padawan status,which lead her feeling unsupported by the Jedi, betrayed. After her name was cleared when the truth came out, she declined to rejoin the Jedi, deciding to go her own way. Rightfully so too after seeing the Jedi way the people she grew up with since childhood didn’t support or believe her.
