Absolutely love the fabric choices. You are so good at that. You'll have to show us your daughter's bag when you get that done. I'm sure it will be beautiful.
Good morning from Iowa, I’m watching you from a swing bed as I have broken my femur bone and I’m so so missing my sewing machines. I’m so bored like crazy. Enjoy watching you sewing. Keep them stitches a going
What if you took the black vinyl and added to each side of the zipper to give more support to the zipper? Maybe doing the bag in vinyl will turn out differently its a adorable bag ❤
That’s such a cute bag! I tried making something similar with cute quilting but the zipper was a wobbly, wavy mess 😢So I ripped the zipper out and put in a magnetic snap instead 😅
I make a similar bag and always got wavy zippers until I clipped both the zipper and fabric. I melt and use fray stopper glue on the zipper tape where I clipped and problem solved!
I watch all your videos, you do such a great job. Love the bag! Can I ask what hole punch you are using and where you got it please. I need a new one and the one you are using looks like it works great.
What an awesome job!!! Love it so much!! Definitely want to purchase the pattern when you're done. Do you think doing 3/8 seam allowance on the zipper would make a difference? Or doing the zipper with a small zipper panel?
Kassiah and gals ... can you please give advice. If I want to buy an industrial for bag making.. do you suggest flat bed or to buy a cylinder arm with a flat bed coversion table?
My advice is a cylinder arm bc you have the flat bed table that comes with it. I only sew on my cylinder arm and most of the time use the flat bed table and then it's easy to take off when I want to use the cylinder part

I really appreciate your testing a sample live. I have aspirations to design patterns myself and I love seeing the process. Thank you Kassiah
I am happy to share that process with you!

Such a cute bag!💕

I hear ya! Zippers can be a challenge sometimes

Love the shape!!
A small exterior vinyl to top off lining to have the zio internal by an inch may work.
Ya I've made one similar to this the zipper tape doesn't have enough structure maybe a stiffer zipper tape would help
Really cute shape!
If you do make a pattern of this bag you must name it after your daughter that is a must 😊
Yes already done!

Yes that’s exactly what I’m doing next time around!!
the 12 days of Christmas begins on Dec. 25 and ends on Jan. 6th, the Epiphany or 3 Kings Day. But that's strictly a Christian thing.
Happy Holidays
Doesn’t happen to me on RUclips because when it asks me to update, I say “not now”
Mike craft has a pattern similar to this. It is a copy of a Prada design
Hi there from Canada
Could you use a metal zipper with cotton zipper tape that doesn’t fray. Then you could clip into it
sooo on the machine do I get a cylinder arm with table attachment or a flat bed for my first brand new machine?
Depends if you have another good machine that does all the basics already? If cylinder arm, if not start with a flat bed.

Cute bag. Iron and steam your zipper before adding it to your bag.
That is a great tip!
you might need to clip the top seams.
Snip the fabric on each side of the zipper for ease.
Great tip! I'll have to try that!
Hi Kasiah, nice try! Have you ever sewed the beanie baguette bag from Spencer Ogg, it has a similar top, check it out 😘
I will definitely have to check that out!
I never get ads while live
Where did you get your table
Which one?
@SiahSwag the top stitch one on your cylinder arm
Do a tiny drop in zipper. My mind is drawing a drawing a blank but I see it in my head 😂
