I second that. Honesty and empathy. Leo, you could've just Not have done this_ shared your findings, and shoot oma video, on it. But you Did ! And we benefited. So thank you.
Leo, I appreciate your honesty and candor, and I am far from the only one i am sure. When you said that you used outboard gear to enhance the sound of the bass drum, it got me wondering about how you get your drum sounds and parts for your songs. Do you use VST plugins, samples or real drums ? Thank you for another great video !
Great info Leo, thank you! One question: I'm listening to your "Art Love Freedom" work on Qobuz and I notice it is 16bit, 44.1khz. Why not uploading a higher spec version on the platforms that would support it? Do you think that the effort made in the selection of gear and in the mixing and mastering process could come out better with a higher resolution or would it be useless? Thank you!!!
Hi, here there are the 24 bits and 48 kHz files: leogibson.bandcamp.com/album/artlovefreedom Actually I don't know why on Qobuz there are not the high res file...I need to check it out: thank you so much for pointing it out! Yes, at 24 bit and 48 it should sound better.
It would be interesting to compare mixing some songs with plugins/hardware as you do with real amps/emulators or between different pedalboards. I love that indigo Suhr, by the way.
Hi, Leo. I see you have a pair of Genelecs, supposedly a 8040 variant? May I ask how they work so close to back wall? I am considering purchasing a pair of 8040 too but am unsure about the placement close to the back wall which would be a must in my room.
Yes, these are very old 8040...I think I bought them in 2008... they are around 80 cm far from the back wall...they work nicely .... I'm currently also mixing with the focal and with Headphone, especially to be sure that the bass freq are not too boomy Thanks!
Dear Leo Gibson, thanks for another great video. I am subscribed to your channel and I like your videos:-) Can you please do a video why you have choosen Suhr guitars? For the moment I have 2 fenders elite both a strat and a tele. But I am considering to buy a Suhr guitar. Kind regards from Belgium. Dirk
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the videos and thank you for being part of our community! Actually you are right....I never review my Suhr guitars....the main reason is that they sound great, the neck fits perfectly with my hands and they are very consistent...I mean, it's really rare to find faulty Suhr...therefore I' pretty confident (for instance) even to purchase them online.... Thanks!
Ι trying to find some videos of you playing fender guitars. But your name is Leo as the fender owner and your surname is Gibson. The algorithm of RUclips got crazy 😂
😀... Here I have demoed a Fender guitar: ruclips.net/video/4RVVBl4GYI4/видео.html There should be another video where I have a custom shop Strato... Thanks!
Thank you for showing us your process Leo. Some wonderful gear there!

@LeoGibsonGtr Thank you for your responsa. I clearly misinterpreted the distance from the video. For sure 80cm is not too close.
Hi, probably because the roof is inclined and therefore the distance is not so clear from the video.
Thanks!
Hi Leo. Did you hear about Valeton GP5? Give us your opinion.
Hi, I have heard about it, but I don't have it....let me get some info....
Thank you for pointing it out!

@LeoGibsonGtr thanks. You are by far the best reviewer of RUclips. A serious person with knowledge, good talking and not clickbaits...
Thank you so much for such amazing compliments: it really means a lot to me!!
