I was in amsterdam in 2016 and we tried Hering (it is a raw fish with onions on top) i love because it was a fresh fish. Try also stroffwafel(stroff waffels), gouda cheese(it is like a cheddar cheese).
I assume you're referring to stroopwafel ;o). Seems to become a staple around the world. Many airlines offer it as well these days. Nothing beats a fresh one at the market, and don't be fooled by the tourist traps adding all kinds of ingredients, and especially a lot of money to the price.
