Stephanie, this is 3 yrs old so don't know if you check the comments but, I plan on making 36 of these as table gift for my guild's quilt retreat. Such a cute idea. The first one I made had a few wrinkles around the edge and there happened to be a glue stick sitting next to me on my cutting table. The second one I made, I smeared some glue on the fabric disc and positioned my button cap before putting it in the rubber cup. This allowed me to tuck in the edges of my fabric more smoothly as there was enough glue to hold them in place while I put the locking cap in. Also, my fussy cut stayed put. The second one had smooth edges. Thanks for posting this. Great idea for quick gifty things. You said you were a bit of a perfectionist so thought I'd pass this on.
What a terrific idea! Thank you for sharing. After some use, my E-6000 glue got all gummed up. I got tired of digging out the dried-up plug before I could use it. I swapped out the cover for a cup hook which screws right into the nozzle. The best thing I've ever done and so much easier to use now. Again, thank you for a great idea.
Awesome tutorial! Are you ever worried that the pull from separating the magnets will pull the back cover of your button off? Especially considering how strong rare earth magnets are?
@@anitacollins5532 you are so welcome! I'm sorry that it took a while for me to respond. I meant to check the size when I got home then of course forgot. Today I saw that I still didn't answer and remembered that I could just look at my purchasing history 😂

Thanks for the tutorial
Love the tutorial. Where did you find the clear disk that you use for size
@@laurabridson1795 it's part of the tool kit. Some packs come with one and some don't. They usually specify. 🙂
Thank you I have to collect supplies. I'll cut my fabric in the mean time.
Great tutorial thank you for sharing have a wonderful evening 😊💗🤗🪡
thank you! Your comments mean the world to me :)

Thank you! Lol no that has never been a concern. The magnets aren't magnetized to the buttons.
@@littlelionstitchery9359 oh that's actually really cool! I'm so excited and can't wait for payday now to get supplies 😂
Great tutorial 👍🏻 where did you w your first kit
Thank you. I think I picked it up at Joann's.
great tutorial! thank you :D
Glad you liked it!
Can laminated fabrics be used??
That's a good question. Honestly, I'm not sure but I would think it would be too thick. Give it a shot 😊
@@littlelionstitchery9359 will do!!
what size of magnets did you use please?
15mm x 3mm
@@littlelionstitchery9359 thanks so much ! xx
