- Commercial spearfishing a shipwreck 170ft deep for black grouper just as the season opened.
Ended up with 9 Blacks and a scamp.
One of my best Black Grouper dives for this depth dealing with narcosis all while managing air consumption...
though I've shot many more Gag Groupers before on previous dives.

Steel, that was the most impressive dive I have ever seen! No easy feat with Black's, those weren't Gags people! Great job Steel. I know that wreck.

Do sharks leave them alone because they are so close to you and recognize you as a predator?

It honestly doesn't matter... Have used both , mostly Yoke on thousands of dives , it's never been an issue. If o Ring is bad enough I just switch it before I go down., It's most likely to blow when it's under less external pressure at lesser depths anyways.
I don't know if it will help any one , but I had metal to metal noise from my beloved Steve Alexander trigger mech, I used a vacuum port cap from the help section of the auto store on the long push rod and made it stealth, for like two bucks .

@@slinginsteel100 thanks, I noticed some fish would move super fast with the sound causing me to not always hit exactly where I wanted, can you please recommend a good brand of shaft's ? You're guns got alot of punch are you bracing it against your body when you shoot ? Maybe the water temp or band material or dia has something to do with it ? You're amazing !

@@slinginsteel100 I think I'm going to try to put magnets on my body . I swim alot and have shark city near by . I have mainly bulls and black tips and lemon sharks I have seen a few saw fish from the boat. I hope I never get to swim with one. !
